I've been seeing twts about this discourse for 4 consecutive weeks already and honestly it pisses me off.
I don't know if its only the western fans who do this kind of thing but for me I don't care. Fictional characters aren't real so why would you protect their rights instead of the real victims??
Why weebs always keep lumping fictional characters and real people together???? Do they not understand that if someone sexualized a fictional character, a goddamn drawing, it doesn't mean that we support irl sexual predators!!

No it's not wrong. Might be shocking to some people due to the norms they've developed, but the ideas they have are subjective and the academic community doesn't uphold them as absolute "right".

If Russia well a family in Russia could make a cult for a cartoon character then sexualizing is more tamed than one would expect

It depends on a person's view I guess as for them theyve personified these fictional characters and stressed on how that theyve considered them that theyre real and all but you know, hentai didnt occurs if avid fans didnt oversexualized their fave fictional characters right? '3'

It's fine as long as it's:
    a) A fictional character and
    b) something I don't have to see if I don't want to

If either of those points is not fulfilled, then something is wrong with you.

I may not like what you did to my 'waifu', 'lil'sis', or whatever, but said character is (sadly) not my personal property.

Imagine complaining about what Twitter says. It's a cesspool of retardation, mental illness and degeneracy. At this point I don't want to nuke Twitter because it will result in their retardation spreading to the whole internet(remember Tumblr?)

Do yourself a favor by deleting your twitter account.

That place has become a breeding ground for retards & toxicity.

writing is freedom; unless you live in a censor heavy country with a red flag you're fine; you can sexualize anything even breadsticks if you want. no matter what you write it will offend someone there no point in pussyfooting around.

You're asking a forum full of people who only sexualize fictional characters all day, what answer are you expecting to get from here?

Is this another pedophilia thing or are we talking about over sensitive people complaining about watchers sexually attracted to morally and legally allowed characters?

I have no idea what discussion made you so pissed off.

But if it's for over sexualization, I kind of agree that it's so common in all media nowadays. Like, imagine if male characters with scantily clad clothing or crotch hugging are common. It's annoying.
I don't want all my character to be he-man.

The same goes for female characters.

If you want some H porn, just go and read hentai.

Mm? Well, I'm not sure whether this thread is about the sexualization of anime characters or specifically the sexualization of underage anime characters, but in either case I don't have a problem with it. I'd rather not see any of the latter, but as @Hacalyhd put it, I don't have to. I don't care what other people do in their private lives, 'long as they're not leering at kindergartners outside of schools. Or, god forbid, kidnapping and/or molesting them. Anime characters? Sure. Have at it.

Note that child porn is intrinsically different, in that actual children were used in its creation. Which is unacceptable.

Also note that I believe other people are fully entitled to the right to say "that's disgusting" when you tell them about your loli/shota fetish and show them hentai of that category. They don't have to share your interest, and they don't have to nod politely. They're people, too, and they have the right to disagree. Vehemently, if that's how they feel.

Thats the first time someone called me a pedo
Nah, Its because saw someone attacking a fan account because they're shipping two minor fictional characters together.

Okay, I'll clarify my post here. I'm not really into lolicons or shotacon at all. But I hate it when other weebs are attacking someone because they're shipping two minor characters/ or a minor and a adult. Its dumb to attack someone because you think that its unacceptable and disgusting to ship minor fictional characters.

Keep in mind a lot of people rant about what they are struggling with themselves. Google 'pastor arrested child pornography' and you'll see it. The number of people giving sermons and rants about sexuality of all types who later turn out to be into it would be amusing if it wasn't so often sad.

I was around 18 or so when Jim Bakker(mega Pastor of the time) was found to be doing many of the things he gave sermons about, and ever since I've kept just a bit of skepticism about whether its a personal demon they are struggling with when seeing people rant about others/sexuality/morals.

Edit: Most people if they are upset by something rant and move on, one sign of people struggling with it themselves is they never move on
