I noticed that western society is retarded when it comes to minors and sex. Most people learn about sex when they are about 11-13, this is when puberty starts. Then at 14-16 people already start to have sex if they have an opportunity and aren't raised in a very conservative family. Pedophilia is by a definition preference for prepubescent children, i.e. 11-12 or younger, or those who look like this. And yet for many westerners anyone who is attracted to a minor is "pedo", which is absurd considering that the age of consent in many countries is 13-15 while in most (including most states in the USA) it is still 16, not 18. So in such a society of course people will sexualize underage fictional characters, it is the only way to fulfil a natural desire for variety. Men need variety to satisfy their sexual urges, this is the reason why porn and hentai exist and why there are so many different scenarios, genres and girls. If you look at pornhub then you'll find that many girls still look underage even when they are in their twenties and videos with them get millions of views. People are just delusional and they turn away from the reality that the vast majority of people are attracted to hot bodies and minors can have them. I'm from Russia and people here aren't so obsessed with minors and the age differences, middle-aged men here aren't called "predators" for dating 19-year-old hotties and most people wouldn't be bothered if they learn that a 17 y.o. dating a 25 y.o..

Im getting a feeling the op's into lolis.

    oh your a weirdo

    Now heres my opinion.

If your attracted to a character because it looks like a child then your fuckin disgusting and should seek help or just never go around children.

If your attracted to a character because of the personality then go do you. Jack to the words on the page but dont look at the body.

Its weirdchamp to run aroudn the issue and say weird shit liek "its not a real person so its ok dude yada yada". You attracted to the features that the character has that you would find appealing irl. Like I'm into big mommy milky milfs which in turn makes me like irl mommy milky milfs.

I do have the stance of its ok to keep this shit private. Dont show other people if you know its gonna just make them see you in extreme disgust. There is no "haha normie dont like this thing" when they actually see you as a problem in the world. Its like people that put ranch on pizza. We dont like em and I honestly believe that they shouldnt get the right to vote in theyre local government because theyre secret russian spies.

Theres no reason to get mad at someone calling that word unless you yourself see yourself as having the same characteristics as that word.

"Ideas are dangerous" is the concept here. Speaking generally, the general idea of fiction affecting reality is something quite real.

Wow, fake stories and fake people can affect real life and real people? Yep. After all, ideas can be dangerous.

Many problems in reality are in fact always expressed through fiction, fictional characters, and settings. If people are mad, it's probably because the promotion of such ideas through fiction, (or drawing in your case) is deemed as dangerous in their eyes. Saying fiction is irrelevant to reality may be a bit....off. In general don't assume "just because it's fiction and the characters are not real" it doesn't affect reality because it's about the idea being portrayed not the characters. The characters are fake but the ideas portrayed are directly related to reality.

Also just my personal thought but, if you're constantly sexualizing little children in your drawings...that is frankly disturbing especially if its a character from a series I like or something. Though I won't stop you as long as you don't constantly parade around advocating the idea, but still, disgusting. I haven't seen the drawings, but if it's simply just a little picture of a ship with no overt sexualization, it probably isn't bad. My point, you're free to do what you want, but don't parade it around everywhere, (even more so depending if the drawing is extremely sexual or not). Anyway I wouldn't go 10 miles near any fiction that constantly sexualizes everything randomly with no logic at all, case in point all ecchi and harem genres.

In the case that the fictional character is underage, my opinion is that only pedos would want to see them sexualized. Yeah, it's fictional and not a real child, but it's still feeding into sick fantasies and normalizing the imagery. Anyway, I'll always be an extremist when it comes to pedos - they have no place in society and I have no tolerance, pity, or understanding for them regardless of their efforts to explain their "sexuality" and how helpless they are about their attraction. Castrate them and be done with it. I'd even say kill, but people are too soft-hearted for that. It's fine to have little girls in your anime/manga, but not as potential romantic interests, no suggestive positions, no panty shots, and certainly no hentai featuring them. I don't care if she's conveniently 200 years old. As for the shota porn that flooded the yaoi manga site I used to frequent, I really don't understand the people who read and enjoy it.

Sexualizing schoolgirls/schoolboys in fiction. I experienced first-hand the results of this type of fetishizing and it was annoying as fuck. Got me grossed out of men. Fucking weirdos. Even had a teacher who eloped with a 14-year-old girl, and he was the type to preach about God and how sinful women were because of Eve.

Most of all, I'm asexual. Sexy imagery does nothing for me, but being surrounded by it annoys me to no end. Like watching an interesting series and BAM - sex scene. Fine, endure it. 10 minutes later, another nude scene. Next episode, some more sex scenes. Or watching an adventure anime with good art, having great expectations, 3 minutes in - panty shots and bouncing boobs. It's a personal issue, so don't take it hard. Regardless of my wishes, sex sells, so fictional characters will always get sexualized despite some twitter rants. Your fetishes are safe. There will even be people defending them for you. I might be a prude, but I realize it's wrong forcing my likes and dislikes on others, so I simply limit the media I consume instead of demanding it to be censored. Well, I do hope pedophilia doesn't get normalized, but I won't be having any kids, so y'all are on your own there.

That's essentially the argument feminists made about Game of Thrones, that only rapists and murderers would like it and it normalized it. Similar arguments have been made for 'torture porn' aka SAW and similar stuff with the argument that only freaks into torturing people would like it. It's a stronger argument with actual humans playing the characters than cartoons.

I don't agree with those feminists, but as long as your consistent we can agree to disagree.

[Btw, I pretty much don't watch most TV/movies because I don't like the feeling of seeing bad things happen to characters played by real people. I mainly read novels and watch YouTube comedy]

Edit: I realized I should link an example of it, though there's lots of them on how it promotes Rape Culture, etc. etc. meh

Wow! ANOTHER pedophilia thread argument  There's one on NUF ... like every other month?

    @Kutaifa @Mnotia I wouldn't stress out about it.

Lotsa open/closet pedos crawl out of the woodwork arguing with the same logical fallacies .....
    - it's fictional and has no impact on reality (they often conveniently leave out that the fictionalized character either happens to be a minor, or was deliberately drawn as one)
    - it's not a real person
    - other countries do it and have no problems (not sure where they got that from)
    - it's an infringement on their freedom (although they don't stop to consider whether their freedom infringes on other ppl)
    - we should trust everyone to be smart enough to make their own decisions about what's acceptable (even after it's repeatedly proven ppl are really stupid and easily influenced)

Some of the responses here are from the same people. The internet infrastructure is too open and unregulated that it's kinda pointless to waste your breath being the lone SJW. I already gave up long ago.
As per @Msmarl maybe one day FBI will come knocking on their doors and find a dark web server full of child pornography. You just hope your kids weren't their prey before that.

You can say I draw the line at kids.

Sex, violence, and their combination (rape) are already normalized. Those feminists are a few decades too late. Game of Thrones is set in a Medieval-like setting, where savagery is common. I do find it gross, but I get it. People enjoy sex and violence while realizing it's fiction. There will always be sickos who derive a different kind of pleasure out of those or get inspired to act on their urges. Like a real case of a rapist who got inspired by movies and planned his kidnappings and rapes in my city. He had numerous victims before he got caught. Pedos are already sick and I really would rather they don't have any material to wack off to or get inspired by.

Normalizing pedos is that interview I saw somewhere, BBC or the likes, where a young pedo was explaining how he can't fight the attraction and was scared of himself. Sure sounded pitiful. There's a thing called MAP's on tumblr or wherever they lurk, trying to legitimize their "sexuality". There are shows where kids are put on display like Toddlers and Tiaras. A movie like Cuties that was meant to highlight a problem and instead the camera work catered to pedos actually won an award. Thankfully, people are still outraged by these things, but these things keep existing. Then there's loli and shota hentai which couldn't be more straightforward. Like whom are they catering to? People with normal tastes? I don't think someone who reads loli hentai would necessarily become a pedo because of it. I don't know why they'd read it, maybe it doesn't matter much to them since it's drawn and sex is sex. A normal person can make a distinction between reality and fiction. Maybe they don't mind a loli in the MC's harem because she's there for the moe factor. What I believe is that people who seek out loli/shota hentai and sexualize the minor characters in shows are pedos. People who seek out only rape porn would seem extremely suspicious to me. People who seek out snuff films would seem abnormal to me. I'm really not eloquent enough to express all my thoughts about this topic and I kinda need to go sleep, so I can't spend any longer writing. Sorry if I missed a point or didn't make things clear.

EDIT: I need to point out that loli/shota hentai is very easily accessible, while CP might get you locked in by the local authorities. I don't know how easily accessible or not it is, as I've never google searched and don't intend to. But I highly doubt PH has a section of it. While any hentai site would have loli/shota sections.

Please provide proof that those who you disagree with are in fact pedos. I really don't like this "They are pro-lolicon therefore are real-life pedos" arguement.

    (1) Don't assume that I'm labeling everyone who sided with the OP as pedo. If that's how you want to interpret it and feel offended as a result, that's on you.
    (2) My response was to @Kutaifa @Mnotia , I don't think I flagged @RainMorga
    (3) I don't have to prove anything to you. Just like lotsa those siding with OP aren't providing adequate evidence and using lotsa logical fallacies.

I've learned it's an utter waste of time being dragged into this same conversation I had on numerous other threads.

    1. I didn't accuse you of labeling everyone. What part of my post made you think I was offended?
    2. This is an open forum.
    3. You just threw labels at many people without proof. Do you understand that?

Well according to some countries law yeah definitely.. I think Canada is one of them..there is a law that doesn’t allow nsfw drawings of kids , so patreon was kicking out artist who draw nsfw Loli or shota ???

Like I totally understand why, some kids may be abused and used as models for these characters.. and it contributes to cp. so if u ban it; hopefully less of that scenario will occur. Like I don’t think many people would want to agree with sexualizing minor character if there is possible indication that there is real harm.

Also if the creator doesn’t want their characters to be sexualized I feel that is another justifiable reason. Like I rather not have to see my minor aged characters to be in nsfw situation ... luckily it has not happened to me and my characters.. but some fanart could tread into this territory and yeah could get in trouble. (Like I think Nintendo hates nsfw? I don’t remember )

Like yeah some people can separate fiction from reality but there are people who cannot and probably the ones that need to be handled carefully too since they get influenced

And that's fine, lots of things draw the line at kids like ability to consent, vote, drink, etc. I totally agree they are a separate class, but I don't think fictional ones are the same as humans just like I don't think fictional adults in anime are the same as humans.

Feminists have been arguing that far before Game of Thrones came out, And their better argument is why make a Game of Thrones at all? Why portray savagery when you could take that money and make something else? Why portray any fiction of murder, rape, etc. if not to satisfy the twisted base desires of people? Plenty of non fiction covers those topics that could educate people if that's the only motive. Hence why many feminists call media like Game of Thrones Rape Porn, and SAW as Torture Porn and point out that if people weren't actually enjoying it they wouldn't watch it.

Personally I don't agree with them...hence my replies on this thread.

The important question of the rapist is: would he have raped people (in a less inspired way), or did the movies make him a rapist? Will media create rapists, pedophiles, serial killers or are their behavior just modified by it? Modern Society isn't going to change itself to give kids the ability to consent to sex. Only a few areas interpret their religions in a way to normalize it, the rest of the world has set a barrier, especially as humans live longer we are even more likely to raise the age higher not lower.

People with mental illnesses are pitiful, until they harm other humans. No psychopath decided to wire his brain that way. Pity doesn't mean you should let people harm others though.

My opinion on the issue is they should get help, and I don't care if the pedos have fantasies about loli's or the psychopath has fantasies about killing people. I'm fine if there's fiction out there to distract themselves with, and hopefully be some quiet Incel in a room for the rest of their lives harming no one. Hopefully with their only interactions with other people being trained professionals.

As for others who consume some fiction but aren't actually sexually attracted to kids, is it going to rewire their brain? No? Then meh. Yes? Then we really should reconsider all media that contains things society finds objectionable like rape, murder, etc. after we can figure out how common it is.

Toddlers and Tiaras was a popular show, I don't get why, but it was. The fact is that either a lot of people that weren't pedo's watched it regularly or there are even more pedos in America than I thought, and I'm glad I don't live there.

As for seeking out, I had 2 coworkers who made it a habit to watch with friends all the banned movies in the world. My lack of interest in movies, my sheer hatred of 1 of them, meant I didn't go but they watched many uncomfortable topics. They sought out a lot of weird shit like Salo. Neither has raped or murdered anyone I know of. If they had watch loli hentai I wouldn't be shocked, but I don't think they did.

I'm not quite sure why you feel there's a difference between writing fiction and cartoons/manga/anime of it.

I think you were fairly clear, I just don't agree mostly.

And child porn should get you locked up, a lot of misery is involved even if the final holder didn't create it they helped make a demand for it. However, I'm not quite sure what your point on accessible is. PH itself is very easily accessible, porn in general is.

Lol, you just prove my point here. What is a child to you? For people in their forties those in their twenties can be considered as children. Depending on a country you can be considered as a minor until 21. And depending on a country the age of consent can be as low as 13 or as high as 21. Objectively, from a scientific point of view, a child is someone who is yet to achieve puberty. And by default normal people aren't attracted to prepubescent children, if you are attracted to a 7-year-old or someone who looks like one then you are definitely a pedophile, though it doesn't necessarily means that you are terrible, because it is just how your brain works and you still can control your actions without harming anyone. But according to multiple studies almost all adult men are still attracted to girls who are 13-17 years old and it is completely within the norm. It is obvious, really. If you felt an attraction to a 14 y.o. when you were a 14 y.o. then you'll feel the same no matter the age because the parts of the brain that are responsible for sexual attraction are the same, it doesn't matter if it is amoral, attraction isn't a choice. The age of consent exists because teenagers aren't mentally developed enough, not because it is rare or abnormal to feel attracted to them physically. In fact, those laws exist EXACTLY because most men are attracted to teenage girls or those who look young (teen and 18y.o. are very popular search words on pornsites for a reason). Those are just objective facts, you can either accept them or not.

Lol, do you even realize that it is the forum for discussing Chinese web-novels with rape and a lot of slaughter? If it influenced people then China would already be destroyed by all those guys who read xianxia. There is nothing to "figure out", studies already proved that violence in media decreases violence IRL. Japan has one of the lowest sex crime rates in the world while being the country with the highest variety of fucked up porn that is easily available. If a desire can be satisfied with no efforts while you relax at home the motivation to do this IRL would decrease. In fact, there are many guys who "suffer from porn addiction", in 99% cases this "suffering" is about not having enough motivation to make efforts to get a girlfriend. The countries where porn is against law and video-games and shows aren't easily available (African and Muslim countries) are the ones with the highest crime rates.

thats the core of problem, people who can't differentiate fiction and reality or lack of restrain or lack of ability to check balance thing, if someone addicted toward sexual drawing then there clearly problem why it keep searching sexual drawing? regulation and enforcement~
entertainment kinda lax enforcement~ violence, sex and comedy~ those kinda romanticize a lot on entertainment~ the problem lay what should be done toward those who act on real life~ why it happen, what the trigger, why it can't control desire and such stuff~ most just wanna blame effect while care less about the cause~
