The idea is simple, imagine being summoned, sent or reincarnated into another world, be it the sword and magic kind of isekai, a sci-fi kind, Wuxia/xianxia/etc... But here is the catch, you get three chances to fight an opponent (you need to win two fights from three in order to win), meaning, imagine, you are in a fight, you do your best to fight your opponent and defeat them, but then he/she will rise up from being dead full of health/vitality and power and you both must fight again till one of you kills the other two times, think of it like a fighting game Spoiler: Example Beware might be too violent for some Do you think such a world would be good or bad? how do you think that might affect your life in there?
To say this is a lame idea, unless the villain was based off of @BigBadBoi but a drunk version, is to put it nicely.
The premise of most isekai stories is stupid. What matters is the execution. With the proper dark tone and believable stakes, this can be a good story.
Imagine getting mugged in a dark alley and retro music starts playing with an epic voice in the sky shouting FIGHT!
The thing is how long does the 3 lives last. If someone is about to die can they have a random subordinate to kill you and all of a sudden you gain multiple more lives? How would any wars be fought since its unlikely for people to fight the same opponent twice in that type of mosh pit and experts pretty much become immune to zero like tactics.
It would be absolutely terrifying if u see at the far end of the alley you see your attacker. For a second you think you are safe but then his eyes glow like lightning and he torpedos through the air shouting hajibabilay
I got two questions: 1) Do you and your opponent both fully heal after the last fight? If one of you dies, will the other still fully heal, or have to deal with whatever damage was inflicted on them? 2) What are the pain levels like? Do you feel every time you die the same amount of pain you would here? Is going insane from feeling death levels of pain and resurrecting a problem in this world?
*is a video game character* *was defeated/killed twice (not in a row) in his introductory game* 。:゚(。ノω\。)゚・。
Well I'd be okay with it. Not giving you seconds though. Also no crying about getting stuck in the corner. Execute your mix ups better or learn to parry and punish properly.
The probability of that already existing is pretty high. So no. Not good enough. Needs more added stuff
Dude, throw in FGO/ Dynasty Warrior/ Gundam into the mix, if you drag random hobos off the street ima let that 40 bang. Also, carrot and stick? Like victor has all the powers (and stuff) of the loser while loser gets yeet into trash compactor hell?
Having a couple fights work like that could be interesting, but having it happen for every single fight sounds like it would get old really quick, and seem like a very arbitrary rule that I would have a hard time to accept for a whole world.
No ambushing far stronger people? Bleh! If this was just an arc taking place in a controlled sub-world? Much better I didn't watch it, but in a fanfic I recently read, Gantz! Was mentioned and it seems kind of similar? Idk tbh, but yeah
1) Both fully heal between battles, after winning, survivor gets to deal with whatever damage that was inflicted on them in the last round (if new battle then fully healed) 2) yes you feel the damage and pain from attacks and death
