But I'm very sure I haven't made 100 posts... So I think rather than it being a useless title, it's a title that must be used for a while.

I hought that it was after the 100 post because I never got the well known member before that so I always assumed that you needed 100 post to be a well known member and change your title but it seems that is only for the title thing
Edit: at least I didn't notice being a well known member before reaching the 100 post mark

 

It's also possible that the member title upgrades according to a different mechanic, like likes received or time. I dunno.
