So,I was reading Undefeated God of War yesterday from the beginning since I had a lot of free time.I liked the story,the plot and almost everything.The only problem I have is with the MC.The way he can act so stupid sometimes is infuriating as I binge read the story and I had to stop at ch.317. I am thinking of starting World of Cultivation which is written by the same author. So I just wanna know if the MC is better (as in not so annoyingly stupid) ?And what about the story itself?
WoC mc is a zombie faced money grubbing human....he's not a fool, more like thinking of his own safety first and the money, then people around him.
I will still choose Zuo Mo than Tang Tian, not because he is better but I read World of Cultivation longer than Undefeated God of War. So I have more affection to Zuo Mo
well tang tian may be dumb as they come, but i like it because this gives him funny moments that woc can't pull off. you can't even compare the novels since they both are action adventure novels, but UDW has comedy to it.
Zuo Mo comes with actual intelligence any money grubbing, Tang Tian is idiot but he's fine with everyone supporting his lack of intelligence and he's also very morally right in a youthful way.
they're somewhat of the same coin.. hard working for their goals.. just that the MCs goals are different.. one is trying to take revenge on his father for abandoning his mother thru strength while the other is trying to find out his past but somewhat deterred by earning jingshi/money
I'm reading both of them but I still feel like that WoC character development is a lot more better than Undefeated God of War.
i like both mc in different ways but i think WoC has a better over all feel i like the group that zuo mo forms more then the remade southern cross
It's up to you. But I like Tang Tian way better than Zuo Mo. Not only is Zuo Mo's attempt to get jingshi really dumb when he becomes a cultivator of the sect and afterwards, when life and death are decided depending on how powerful you are, there's no desire for personal strength in him. Even now, it's about getting jingshi, when he controls and entire jie, he still acts like it's not enough. He doesn't spend a lot and it's justified, but seriously, it's just boring. TT is mentally challenged (let's be serious, he is), but he's way more entertaining that Zuo Mo, and he actually wants to get stronger in a world where strength decides everything. As another poster said WoC is way better planned out than UGW is. I can't tell if it's b/c of the bad translation but UGW world is broken. But the story is entertaining.
In truth I find UGW more interesting because of the humour but in honesty WOC mc is more intelligent. Zombie(WOC) only wants to get money though, so it is more lengthy, slow and lots of text walls of explanations Crazy(UGW) wants power so its more fast paced, crazy and stupid. take your pick, choose what suits your taste more.
