My Prediction. Isaac will continue to be a dick but now he'll have all the power he never wanted to run New Port City. Order of business: Raze Port City's ports so all business go to New Port City. Put a toll gate on the bridge. Get the crime bosses to submit or get rekt. Bleed population of Portless City, as well as the Guilds. Invite friendly guild to set up shop in New Port City. Black mail the mayor with something funny
The Empire is so messed up. Their definition of 'success' that Isaac has to complete in 3 years, is so farfetched that nothing but a MC in a novel could accomplish it. Turning the worst city in the Empire into the best in 3 years, simply so Isaac can get what is rightfully his and has already legally been given to him, except one man, a Count, can go against the laws of the Empire (what's up with that Count having so much control over an entire section of administration in an Empire, which is the only kingdom on a continent). The story is still enjoyable to read, even though Isaac's situation is very unrealistic (same thing at the Academy, Isaac not being allowed to fight back against students, but they can freely hit and beat him whenever they want, or the smuggling that went on)
Sssshh...just turn off your brain like I did. I was so infuriated at how a supposed "best of the best" school just allowed everything that happened to Isaac and everything that Isaac did (see my earlier posts for reference) but then I realized, why bother, this is fantasy anyways. Lolololol.
Is the New Port City arc over soon? I’m catching up on some light novels like Campione, and Blade Dance, so I’m gonna let some chapters build until I can binge. Also want to reread the early chapters for the revisions.

Iirc it is a wish fulfilment novel, read first few chapters before quiting. Cuz MC became OP and beat (not kill, too bad) any and everyone who is against him.
Isaac is the firstborn, born to a concubine whom his father loved. Sadly, she was commonborn, and thus Isaac's father married a woman from another noble family. Normally, the title would then go to Isaac's half-brother since Isaac was born out of wedlock, but the current Emperor of the Empire is also the firstborn of a concubine (the Emperor's younger half-brother who was the legal heir stepped down), thus changing how inheriting works (choosing the "legal" heir over the firstborn can be seen as a slight towards the Emperor himself) Source: ch 6
I think that Isaac will not complete his quest cause there will be gate with monsters near New Port City and that will be kind of plot twist.
Oo, so basically, the Emperor changed the law in order to satisfy his own feelings but ended up fcked Isaac right up the alley? Ouch, talk about bad timing birth. Cuz from c31, no one LIKES Isaac, be it the stepmother side and the father side.
If he does manage to complete it without such things happening, I think Isaac will fuck over Port City in his development of New Port City (his "quest" doesn't mention that Port City still has to be rich after he's developed NPC)
