Recommendations Isekai with Rational MC

I am looking for some novels which has rational thinking MC and not just all about 'I have to be a Harem King' or 'I am so OP so I would screw up this world'. It's better if the MC has some struggles in the new world and MC tries to aim for succeed.

I have readed some, for example: Slime Datte Ken, Kumo Desu Ga, Mushoku Tensei, etc.

P/s: I am not into CN novel right now, so maybe just KR and JP.

I saw people mention World Teacher, but I don't recommend. It's not bad exactly, but it's very not good. Mediocre. Almost no plot, and that's already considering it's slice of life. Also, harem. Not very well done. And MC is a complete pussy most of the time. Even for a Japanese MC

 

I have a problem with all these people who ask for Rational MC's because as long as the MC has a reason or logic he believes in then he is making rational choices.

I don't really know your definition of pussy, this one doesn't really show the definition you mentioned. But i agree that the mc is kinda mediocre. He is not pussy he kills his enemies and an op protagonist but he is still abit boring. It also also have plot every arc but really slow and always get side tracked so you will forgot that there is a plot. After they left the kingdom it gotten even more boring. Just when i thought it will get interesting after the reunion with the elf, the plot side tracked again and it become boring again.

 

Soft, afraid of conflict (the few times there is any, it's really forced). Basically, he doesn't in any way act like he was setup to be, a tough soldier/secret agent/assassin. So, you'd expect him to be a tough person. who doesn't shrink before others, and is a person who is experienced, respected, and somewhat feared (by the unfriendly ones)

 

Well, he thinks of his harem members either as his kids or pets. It becomes really boring soon, by the school arc imo.

 

Well, yeah, sure, he kills his enemies, but to be honest, he only does this when absolutely forced to. I somehow was able to force myself to read until ch90-something, and till then, there wa only one instance, I think, when he killed someone out of anger.

2. Although he has a somewhat harem surrounding, he didnt chose to make a harem. The girls decided that on their own.
3. How did he became a pussy? Hes acting like their teacher/mentor thats why he didnt tried to have them as a lover. He answered their love in due time unlike most JP MCs. He carefully chooses options in fights, having his disciples learn from the situation.

So i dont see why world teacher dont fit the criteria the OP was looking for?

 

Think on his perspective first before saying he's a pussy. Would you, an old man inside, date an teenage girl waaaaaay too far in mental age, w/o awkwardness or whatsoever ? Also, he does got a rational brain even though the events are illogical. Mentally rational enough not to date(almost) a girl, whose likely be someone a granddaughter in terms of your past life age.

Of course, even IRL, if an old man dates a teenage girl would also get a look of scorn from society.

 

Death March? Satou is the only one i can think and he never force his ideals to other like some jerk without understanding their circumstances.
ex : slavery is bad you shouldnt do them (while shouting justice and stuff) etc.

How about Dantalian from Dungeon Defense? he's definitely rational just a bit insane.
