So I was mtl’ing and found she did disunite because she thought being a queen is a hassle. So, I don’t think she will fix it anytime soon.
If I'm MTLing this right, it seems that some of her friends actually did what they did in order to protect her. Same with her ex-fiancee. If he allowed things to remain as it was, MC's life would be endangered. Also, he had to get his position as crown prince removed and brought shame to his name so that MC's reputation would be become better and to make things easier for him to deal with his enemies (the people targeting her wants both his and MC's life so that they could make ex-fiancee's brother the king). 2 years later, MC's brother informs MC of what actually happened and who was in on it, he also presents a letter that one of her friends wrote that was involved in the scheme that wished for MC to obtain happiness. When MC asked about the woman ex-fiancee 'left' her for, ex-fiancee explains how he believes that woman was actually the daughter of the person who was aiming for MC's life. The girl couldn't even handle the queen's training (MC had been suffering the queens training for years so she wasn't too surprised). By the time MC and ex-fiancee saw each other again, his prince status had already been removed. His personality also greatly changed compared to what she last remembered (she always thought he hated her, but it turns out she was wrong). Also, we get a glimpse of his and his knight's POV, so it becomes more obvious that he always held feelings towards her. MC's father seemed to also be aware of the scheme, but it looks that one of the main reason he sent her to such a remote place to live at was because... her brother's obsession towards her (or so what ex-fiancee thinks). ------ If any info is wrong, fill free to correct me.
Oh, his brother isn't evil at all. It's his brother's mother that is. The brother is also helping ex-fiancee eliminate his mother's people. He never even felt qualified to become king. Out of everyone from their entire family, ex-fiancee and his brother view each other as family while they viewed everyone else as their enemies. The brother merely wanted to protect ex-fiancee, he couldn't understand why his brother (ex-fiancee) would destroy himself just for the sake of a single woman. Where I'm at, he asked MC to come back to society so they can lure out his mother since she hasn't taken any action recently. The sooner they can catch her, the sooner they can execute her (his main goal).
