I need help with this bold line. I'm not sure if those two lines above help as context. Please help. Thanks!
Who's the MC/narrator? Ciel or the other character? The MC began building magic in their hand to cow the other person. Either Ciel scared the other person into not calling them Shii-chan or MC cowed Ciel from attacking them over the nickname. I leave the phrasing up to you.
Hmmm... the chapter you're working on is quite interesting. I'm pretty sure this is first person narrative. Ciel is trapped by paralysis right, so she should be struggling to fight back. "But thanks to the concentration of magic on my hands, I wasn't able to completely use my abilities." Well that's my take on your highlighted line.
Based on the context of the earlier two lines, I would assume it goes something like this (liberally translated to add some context): Due to (my) being able to concentrate on the magic in the palm of my hand, things ended without either or them putting those words into action. As an additional note, those actions likely refer to this "Shi-chan/Ciel" punishing the character in question, while Dii gives the character a reward? Something like that. Hope that helps somewhat!
If it was neither Ciel or Dy, will there be a slight change in the sentence spoken? Or just the same but change the pronoun?
It was close to chencking's but different wordings. But I was thinking maybe it has a different meaning so I came here.
Oh, I assumed Ciel or Dee were the MC. But yeah, the gist is the same. Seems like you had it well in hand.
