So I just went back to meet my parents in Africa (Nigeria for any who are curious) While I was sifting through my old junk I found my DS along with some of the games I had on it. Pokemon platinum (my first pokemon, plus along with diamond and pearl's roms, the only ones I have played)) Disgaea (till this day I'm never sure if it's 'eae' or 'aea') Digimon world Advanced wars- dual strike Dragon quest 9 (the only one I've played) Final fantasy 12 (it really wasn't that good) e.t.c Right now I'm just basking in the nostalgia as I once again, after almost 8 years, sweep through the Sinnoh region like a scourge beating up and capturing pokemon ... It sounds really weird when I say it like that, but let's roll with it. My best song from DS For the sake of nostalgia, just wondering if anyone remembers any good games I can finally use my emulator for. It's been sitting on my desktop for a few years now, almost untouched.
When I hear someones first pokemon game is platinum I remember how old I am as my first pokemon game was red version on the old behemoth of a gameboy that took 4 AA batteries.
The gameboy is a close second to me, with the DS being first. It's not that I'm young (in my mid-twenties), but my parents weren't all about games and I was more a pc person, so the only two 'consoles' I owned. pre-uni, were a DS and a PS2

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon! Especially Sky, don't forget to try out blue/ red too. Then try Harvest Moon, Harvest Moon DS especially. Lastly is a personal favorite of mine, it's my childhood game and the game that is always in my heart, Megaman Starforce 1,2,3. Try em out!
OH! How could I have have forgotten harvest moon?! The hours I put into that game. I tried the mystery dungeons when I was younger, but they weren't quite my cup of tea, I'll give them a second shot though. As for the megaman games, never played one, but maybe I'll give them a try.
my first portable console was the gameboy colors......first game ever pokemon blue, after that i exchanget it with a friend for pokemon yellow then exchanged again for pokemon crystal, dragonball and dragonball z.....after that i brought a ps2, now i have a ps4 and psp....
Both were great. I personally love gen 2 and 4 so I'm incapable of comparing the two. I know gen 2 is supposed to be one of the best gens but I also personally love platinum and gen 4
I loved Crystal~ Of course, it was the first Pokemon game that I played when I was actually old enough to play it properly (instead of just messing around). I remember that I tried to play Red/Blue back before I could even read, I bugged my older sister to read the options for me... But back on topic with DS games, I loved The World Ends With You and of course, the Phoenix Wright games. And much less known, Ghost Trick--not all that much replay value imho, but it was really fun to play.
