I've recently seen some RWBY doujins. However, the characters' personalities are almost nothing like in the show and it makes me think: Is this how Japanese people feel when they look at whatever weeaboo stuff they find on the internet? I don't know if weebs do much doujins(I do remember some guy at my old school that used to draw R18 anime pictures but that's just one person) Discuss
Doujins never stay true to their real series. I mean... Have you really seen https://www.novelupdates.com/series/kono-subarashii-sekai-ni-shukufuku-o/ doujinshi's anything? Doujin is basically Fan-fic. Much like most Fan-fic R18 in regards to twilight and what not, features Gay couples rather than straight.
Some are, in case of semi-wincest feelings between two characters that the anime never pushed further due to censorship, the doujinshi goes that extra mile.
I agree that doujinshi pretty much is a drawn r-18 fanfiction. And most of them are PWP (plot what plot), so it makes sense that the characters are OOC. However there are some that do take care to keep the characters 'in character' xD although they are few. If you are looking to read a quality doujin regarding this or that series, don't jump into it by yourself, but ask for recommendations. If a quality doujin for said series happens to exist, then other people may have read it and will save you the eye cancer of scrolling through tentacles and omegaverses and questionable threesomes.
a good doujin can make the characters look "authentic". tho in most cases it's just fan service and fap material so give it up, and just enjoy~
Typically , sort them by views, not comments. Otherwise you end up with hardcore pedcest snuff gore doujinshi or some hardcore NTR bs.
Some of the best i've seen that kept true to character as far as you can in a doujinshi was Yuuki Rito x Mikan wincest(to love ru) , in a very loving way.
