Basically it's a way to speed up the plot, by explaining the MC's overpower, without making the reader vomit.

But in this case, the author cleverly explained the MC was low powered in mana, so his mana manipulation skills are tops! He has to be highly skilled to get the most out of his power!

No chip needed, the MC works for everything!

Now, if the author is REALLY good, with the discovery of his overpowered skills in mana manipulation, accessing the world's photon and computer network, he's unknowingly triggered cybernetic AND photonics guardian, who are now narrowing in on this unassuming low ranked student...

DUM, DUM, DUM!!!

 

Ok that was way to sci-fi for my brain to process. But I think later it will be revealed why he is OP, and believe me is not only because of his mana manipulation skill. What I keep wondering is why he continues to be considered a"waste" (quoting the terminology that would be used in any CN) when he doesn't shy away to show some of his strengh, like what happened in the cafeteria.

 

Who besides me thought IMMEDIATELY of a magic girl transformation!

So whats the meaning of his skill been S and why does he stats have number behind the rank, is that the meaning of his strengh disproportionaly from his D Stats???

Well finally we are reaching one of the importatn parts of the novel, where we guet to truly know the MC, I eagerly await his reuinion with his family, even though I know how it plays out, I still would like to know what the others fans think of it.
