Yeah... maybe but it's been going on for months (looking at the 1st chapter release) . So I thought it affected the translator of rain tl. I remember when the novel is at it's early chapters, the translator said that he'll release 5 chapters a week while also translating the music novel. So I'm worried that something is happening in the backgound. I was wrong in remembering it. Webnovel only started it a month ago.
After hearing that it's on webnovel I took a look and the chapter titles were exactly the same, so i decided to compare chapter 1 there to rains translation and noticed that it as also identical so unless it's rain putting it on webnovel they're probably just stealing their translations. edit after more looking around: Looks like it's just someone stealing others translations, theres a couple of other novels by different people and they also seem identical.
The only one who was truly kidnapped were Green and Red. Gold was tricked and Blue was born there. He treats them like children. Restricting their movement and activities in some ways but giving as much liberty as possible. So I don't think this qualifies for Stockholm syndrome. Green seems to be trying to flirt with Yu Jitae but it's questionable if that counts as romance
IF you guys like this then you would like "My dad is too strong" with the similar premise of; a man who lived for hundreds or thousands of years, most powerful in the world, adopting kids, process of regaining lost emotions and a regressor. I prefer my dad is too strong since MC there isn't innately evil nor abused his power in the past. It is mostly a slice of life but there are some battles though ended fast since MC the world's strongest. Although I'm still reading Kidnapped Dragons, I feel uncomfortable that the MC had a past where he abused his powers in his 2nd iteration to force women despite having a lover in his first life.
I read it a bit a few months ago and dropped it because of red flags. There is definitely romance somewhere in the future. The title of the novel is "Kidnapped"Dragons. They were all kidnapped. When romance happens with a Kidnapped Dragon then it is Stockholm''s lol. I hope you all enjoy reading it. It just ain't my cup of tea.
I never read My Dad is too Strong, so I will refrain from making any comparisons between both. But Yu Jitae's character development isn't just about a broken shell of a human slowly regaining his lost emotions. But also about him realizing how much of a sinner he is and questioning whether he deserves happiness.
All true. But i would assume that Green is the love interest. With maybe the preschool teacher making a reappearance as a love rival but that doesn't seem likely. I read My Dad is too Strong (the manwha) and it didn't really give me a similar impression of kidnapped dragons. Though there are plenty of similarities. My dad is too strong seemed less serious (there wasn't really an apocalypse on the line) and seemed more centered on him adapting to society
I'm pretty sure a big part of Stockholm syndrome is that the kidnapped people feel emotionally close to their kidnappers because they are the only people they meet for months. So if Green fell in love with the MC in the 5th or 6th iterations (which she probably did) then you could argue for Stockholm syndrome. It doesn't make sense in the 7th where the MC doesn't restrict their actions.
Is it really Stockholm's when they're not really abused nor restricted that much? Jitae's only condition was for them to be near Yu Jitae, otherwise they are free to do whatever they want. In the 5th or 6th iterations you could say that it would be really Stockholm's if a romance happened since the girls were really abused and isolated from the rest of the world. But in this 7th iteration they're not really that restricted nor isolated.
The word Kidnapped in the title makes it Stockholm's The definition of the word is very simple and straight forward: Stockholm syndrome Learn to pronounce noun feelings of trust or affection felt in many cases of kidnapping or hostage-taking by a victim towards a captor. I know that webnovels desensitize us to crap and that's why words like wincest exist. Although I admit that given the premise, the protagonist is more of a police officer making an arrest and placing them under house arrest/ surveillance than actual kidnapping
Not even house arrest, more probation I highly doubt she fell in love with Jitae in the previous iterations. She tried her best to convince him to give them some freedom or way to follow their calling but he ignored them. She seemed to be able to tell that Jitae was just mechanically doing what he thought was best but she definitely hated him when Blue suicided
