    A conversation between a young girl (~7-8) and my cousin, with me as a bystander.
    cousin: we're sisters
    girl: no you're nottt
    cousin: yes we are, see the resemblance?
    girl: no, you're thin, she's (meaning me) fat
    cousin: I MEANT OUR FACES
    girl: you're face is thinner and hers is fatter
    ... oh but you both have freckles!

    I don't have freckles. She was talking about my acne. She KO'ed me thrice in that short convo.

    And today:
    girl: your hair smells good
    cousin: thanks
    girl (to me): let me smell your hair
    ... you smell like a dog

    this little.... Oh well. I'm fine with it since I know she isn't speaking with malicious intent or being cocky, but kids are so blunt it hurts TT-TT.

    another time she was hugging me and squeezing my waist while saying: "thinnerrrrrrr" OTL

    You guys have any similar experiences? (And I'm not talking about actual mean and arrogant kids, but innocent and honest ones.)

    Children are honest at least most of them are until they learn how great lying is, but we all think that everyones besides ourselves is an asshole or a jerk, kids are just forthright about it.

    Rather than changing it into a matter of disciplining children, this is just happening because she doesn't know that what she's saying is wrong or might be hurtful. Kids who deliberately say hurtful things KNOWING it's wrong are the ones who deserve a spanking.

    My uncle once convinced his granddaughter that she's adopted and that she's actually Chinese. She started crying to her mother saying she's not her mom and that she wants to go home. Ah good times good times
