I'm more concerned about the og Eris. Any spoilers for og Eris? I don't think Helena is not innocent. I think she's real. For someone leaving in a palace as a maid and as someone who got the prince's fancy, I believe it would be difficult to fight against the prince. I think she's intelligent and the most pitiful character in this series. She needed to save her own life and cannot even speak up her own opinion because of her status.

So far, OG Eris was presumed to be dead, whether it's by her wish or maybe her action to take her life like now Eris. She'd been suffering from depression from what I read so far. And the only people who knows of her departure are Eris's Father, now Eris, and the nanny. If the spoiler are accurate, she won't make a comeback till the end of the story because Spoiler: Now Eris Ending Now Eris asked Anakin to burn Eris body completelyso nobody could resurrect any each. I really, really hope OG Eris could get reincarnated in a better circumstances than her past life. But I feel sad for the people who loves her, like her dad and her nanny. I really hope they get their closure. Spoiler: Just some rambling I think there's a lot Helena could do even as a maid to remove herself from cp clutch if she wants to. Align herself to Eris, search job elsewhere, go to his political opposition to seek asylum, run away to neighboring country, get help form her other suitors, etc. Inaction doesn't mean helplessness. From what I see so far, it's clear that her moves aren't being monitored and she could go everywhere she wants to. That's a lot of opportunities to seek help. Especially remembering how cp is now is just still a puppet cp and real power are all in the emperor hands. The emperor wouldn't let cp spend any resources if he ever wants to pursue Helena if she ever run away. And suddenly I just noticed that there's some weird lining here. Why would OG Eris in the OG story get ramifications from trying to kill Helena, a commoner? And why would the Emperor not stop the Helena, cp wedding? The Emperor matched Eris and cp to control the nobles, if they don't marry, that that control is voided. And even if the emperor has no say or dead in the OG story, there would be many opposition from the noble party if a prospective emperor marrying a fallen noble. I mean, I'm just trying to make everything sense here, but I guess this is afterall a light novel. Most logic could be abandoned. Like with Helena character setting.
Idk about you guys but I think the ending although a tad bittersweet is actually pretty good for her. She sticks to her og plan which is to go back home and achieves it. What's so wrong with that? Just cuz she can't be with the ml? MUST she have a man at the end to have a "happy ending" as if that's the only worthy reward for all her efforts?? Besides it's even hinted (apparently) that they reunite so why the hate? Furthermore we still have 3 mls including the wacko cp who pine for her so she'll never have her peace if she stays. Ml is not some prince seeking the throne so we can't expect the royal family to overturn and set her free. Remember that the king engaged eris w the cp in the first place cuz of a political agenda, no matter how powerful of a family she comes from she can't go against the royal family if they still insist on the marriage. So what ending would you rather have: one where she can return to her family or one where she'll be hounded by 3 relatively powerful men? You could say she could've just ran away somewhere w ml but what about eris's family? With how story is progressing I see her having at least some kind of attachment w them cuz they treat her pretty nicely so she can't just leave everything behind knowing they might be in danger if she does

I'm so sad for anakin... I mean he killed someone he deeply loved and burned her so nothing could be left behind even for him to mourn. This is so cruel. I know novel is realistic and all but this cruelty is just break my heart. Why didn't she ask anyone else?! Most spoilers are on how this story turns many clichés in this genre upside down! Key law of nature of the novel world: You cannot kill yourself. People in this world do not have a say whether they want to die or not bc if you do die, someone can revive you even if it’s against your will. Granted revival must happen within a certain time interval from death Characters: There are 4 “main interests”. 3 of the 4 are the novel’s MLs that scorned OG Eris and all loved Helena. They slowly turn their love for Helena towards Eris once MC takes over the body. There’s a priest who revived Helena, a knight and even the prince himself rolls eyes. The real ML is Anakin, a commoner escort knight (bam one cliché down where MC always falls in love with someone of higher status) The sudden change in the 3 OG MLs attitude towards Eris disgusts MC and that really solidifies her resolve to never fall in love in this novel world and pushes her to find a way to escape (another cliché gone, MC wants to actually LEAVE and doesn’t forgive those who hurt her, even tho it wasn’t really her they hurt) The 3 OG MLs all realize very quickly that Eris hasn’t simply “changed” bc of a suicide attempt. And it’s common knowledge for the main cast pretty early on that current Eris is someone from another world Helena, the OG heroine, is not evil. She’s actually really cool too. She’s a maid and is forced to marry the prince bc he uses his status to force his love onto her. She has a really sad past too. But YAY TO HEALTHY FEMALE RELATIONSHIPS, no cliché evil OG heroine Romance? Eris does fall in love with Anakin. And the way the author writes it out is really amazing. The way love is portrayed is that love is an emotion you can’t control. But something regarding love that you can control is whether you act on that love. And Eris will not act on her love for Anakin, meaning to her, escaping the novel world is still more important than her love for Anakin Ending: Eris eventually finds a witch who tells her the only way to escape is through death, which is like the one thing she can’t do due to the laws of the novel world. So in the end she convinces Anakin to kill her and burn her body and stop the other 3 guys from reviving her. I remember reading Anakin’s thoughts on this and it was so sad More clichés gone out the window: Anakin does kill Eris and stops the other 3 guys from reviving her. She successfully returns to the modern world. It’s left a bit open ended, but it’s hinted that Anakin and Eris will reunite in the living world Edit: Holy frick guys the spoilers are literally on the first page. Stop spreading fake ones lmfao

Spoiler: last part of the main story “Anakin?” Everything was different, but somehow I had a strange conviction. I’ve always been confident that if I meet, I’ll be able to recognize him at first sight. Honestly, I don’t know why my unfounded confidence soared. People would usually call it fate. the man looked at me reflexively at my question. He tilted his umbrella toward me to keep it from raining, and then smiled. his shoulders are getting wet again. Kissing in this situation is cliched, but there must be a reason for the stale things to be loved in this world. like the dazzling ending of a play, a movie, or a story, we kissed. Then we never broke up again. -End- (It was vague but Anakin went to Eris’s world. Apparently, in the side stories the witches cried when Eris died and Medea the witch that helped Eris sent Anakin to Eris’s world.)
