Muyoku no Seijo wa Okane ni Tokimeku It's mostly through misunderstandings though. Kinda like Trash of the Count's Family (the novel that the person above me recommended) to be honest.
I second TCF! For manga, maybe try Letter Bee, Natsume's Book of Friends, or Hibiki's Magic? Also if you don't mind a video game, Witch's Heart is very good and the protagonist is very kind.
Noblesse: Rai is super nice to everyone, he's such a cinnamon roll Ability also has a kind protag but it's dropped Maybe you'll like Hyde & Closer, it's a manga about a boy's journey to becoming a real man. Agreed, these are so good! And thinking of Natsume's book of friends, The Morose Mononokean is great too and it's also about helping yokais
