Yes I was thinking why chapter releases stopped on nu it seems they have adwalled from ch68 onwards and current chapter count is at ch89 and they still haven't fixed link of ch67 it sends you to qidian main menu

It is so much better. Having no important characters die so far is also disappointing for a supposed dark story. Even Ralf came back from the dead

So I stopped at the beginning of volume 6. Pretty tired of the mc surviving by the skin of his teeth only be thrown back into the thick of it.

I was hoping someone could say whether this is still the case after the time skip? Is he as powerless as before? Is he always just barely managing?

 

Without spoiling much, there is an OP moment post 3 arcs after time skip(reg CN novel early arcs lvl OP) but it's very short though.......MC surviving by the skin of his teeth is what drives him to become strong/OP, author has established this fact very early in the novel.....the best part about this novel are that the OP elements are very rewarding when they do come.....
