i dont like how the manga is progressing towards shounen troupe.....wasnt this a historical manga?Qin will be defeated or maybe withdraw from this battle IIRC....coz Riboku will be discarded due to political strife or Qin undercover ops.....but this Houken thing is getting annoying now.....
Its more like romanticism of history for entertainment. We already know the ending, making the journey enjoyable should be the priority.
i know.....but on the same time, Romance of the Three Kingdom or whatever its called is genuinely true to the history without crap like super humans.....
it's a shounen manga you can't expect it to be historically accurate. just let it be what it actually is a manga made for entertainment. I like read historie which is basically about a general who played a mojor role in Alexander the great's conquests, but it only that a manga while they do add facts and details they also exaggerate and hyperbole many things to entertain.
no it's not romance of the three kingdom has guan yu being 6 foot 7 foot man? zhange fei in the three kingdom story has him holding off 10,000 men at the bridge with only his spear. and Zhuge liang wasn't even a real strategist he was a minister and states man also engineer he also help with agriculture. and the Three kingdom novel also has him calling the east winds so that they can set fire to cao cao ships at chi bi as wu and shu attack wei. The Three kingdom novel is just as fake and as manga it's just that the ppl of that time lack the creativity of giving their heroes better abilities so they could only make them big strong and super human strength that enables them to fight against thousands.
Like hollywood "based on a true story" movies, you just take the good and ignore the 'thats not how it goes' embellishment.
there are many, many historical manga with shonen tropes, and kingdom has lots of shonen-esque tropes ever since it started: with weight of a general, and similar emotion based powerups. even if you think the current chapters are 'too shonen' it's clearly not much of an outlier compared to lot of other shonen-esque moments in the manga
You guys are not even reading the original post. It was taken too far recently so basically the story has gotten inconsistent Maybe the last volume did not sell enough and the editor requested changes
Except it isn't, it is published in a seinen magazine, could as well have been in a shounen magazine though. Shounen/Seinen/Shoujo/Josei are all loose and arbitrary terms.
