Well... I think I want to drop this novel. What kind of self-respecting chef mixed urine into his food, other than those who dabbled in experimental food and molecular gastronomy?
He is not putting it on his own dish, Shirasaya. It seems like MC is planning on sabotaging his competitor because he tried to kill the MC before. Hmm. And why bother creating an LCD discussion about the novel if you are planning to drop it in the first place lol haha
i'll let a well-versed scholar reply for me jules winnfield: also, LOL you created the thread and 2 minutes later dropped the novel
I think you're not supposed to focus on the urine part, but the chemical composition of a urine, which is ammonia. I think either he wants to make an explosive subtance, or a horrible smelly gas. Lol. But I'm not a chemist or ever learn one, so I can be wrong.
"When nitrates salts are exposed to high heat, in the presence of amino acids such as from urine or in the stomach, they can turn into compounds called nitrite [1]. Within the pot, nitrites are rapidly created. Nitrites are extremely toxic for human beings, and could be considered strong poison. On Earth, sodium nitrate is white to light yellow powder or granular, taste slightly salty, soluble in water. Its appearance and taste are similar to those of salt. It is widely used in industry and construction. It is also allowed to be used as a limited amount of food colouring in meat products such as luncheon meat. However, the probability of food poisoning caused by nitrite is high. Ingesting 0.3 to 0.5 grams of nitrite can cause poisoning. Approximately 3 grams will lead to death. There should be about 5 grams of nitrate in here. Luo Xiu could not help grinning manically. Even if this poison does not kill Li Yuan, the chance of Li Yuan getting cancer is 100%." I'll just paste all these here so you know the reason
thats just disgraceful and insulting to the profession...but yea if you worked at restaurants, it's actually quite common...people adding boogers and sand into your pizzas/food for bad customers and stuff... anyway it looks like a good read but hopefully it doesn't end up like goumet of xx or fishing the xx...where the mc becomes void of a personality to the point where it wouldn't make a difference if the mc was replaced with a straw puppet...
Hi, I am the translator for this novel. I am so glad to see a discussion about the novel that I am translating. When I first translated this, I double check and almost fainted. My initial reaction was the same as Mr Taten, and Shiraraya. Did I translate wrongly? I was I double-checked. I was hesitant. But I am the translator and not the author, so I translate as what the author had wrote. I guess the author is When you read the next few chapters, somehow, it makes sense. I do not like it either. It is just one of the quirks of another wise interesting and good novel. The chef is really skilled, and is good at creating food. There are many more chef battles to come, and delicious food Once again, thanks for checking out the novels I translated. Hope you enjoyed it.
Of all the novels on the site, I only havent read this one. The others especially here come a female chef is top notch I must say.
thanks for your comments. I love that novel too. It is my favourite, along with daddy's fantasy world restaurant.
