Over the last few days I've tried looking for a story that I left hanging because I caught up with the translation team. I remember it starts when the mc is sold to a lamia. He doesn't understand her speech, but they start living together and the story goes on like that, telling you of their daily life, how he learns little by little about her habits and such. The last I remember more or less clearly is that they buy a cart to make trips to the town easier
As mentioned above " Regarding the Story of My Wife, Medusa " is similar to what you are looking for. However this novel plot has a Gorgon not a Lamia as the wife, so I don't know if it the same book. Also the husband was not sold to her
I don't know the novel, but from a mythology standpoint Gorgons are not Lamias. Medusa only has something to do with snakes from Athena's curse. Its also why she isn't immortal like her sisters, ugly, and has the stone stare.
I'm reading the beginning, and Medusa could be the story I was looking for. Of course, it's been so long that I had a few lapses of memory like lamia instead of medusa, and mixing up the par where they meet the merchant caravan with the mc being sold as a slave to his wife
I guess op didnt remember properly he probably would have went "it was some snake girl so it was probably a lamia..."
You can close the thread. It really was Medusa, not lamia, but sadly they haven't translated any more chapters since I had to drop it
