So I have a 2011? Macbook Air which I left to dust for about 3 years and just opened it up the other day. I factory reset it and updated it to the latest software and sprayed dust cleaner into it but it's still so goddamned slow. Any way to fix this?

It's a laptop and old not much you can do other than to format it and start fresh close all background programs. Also could try closing the useless services but I know Windows not Apple

What exactly is slow? Booting, loading programs, mid program. Also is the speed the same as you bought it?

If its just loading programs it might be your hard drive. Since its 2011, I'm pretty sure you're not using an SSD. Try defragging your HDD or get an SSD or hybrid. If you already have an SSD/hybrid then I'm not to sure whats causing your laptop to be slow on loading. If the program is a heavy processing program then maybe your CPU/RAM might not strong enough.
