Hole in space-ime, body of a pale child appears, and hovers in air.
Column of Darkness engulfes it. Eldritch horror crawls from the earth into this small body.
Child opens eyes, moves his hand, all magic dissolves, their super weapon is useless.
'He is the one responsible for your death... It would be only adequate... If you were the ones that took away his live...'
After he uttered those words, from his shadow emerge three "humans".

Did you not catch what the numbers said.
mana at age 8 months +1200
gets 3 levels +1203
4 months pass and
97 levels gained +1223


4 months passing without any mana gained despite his mana increasing from +600 to +1200 somehow between 6 and 8 months old. His age increased by 50% with no increase in mana (atleast not an increase that could be attributed to age). Thats a negative for the age increases mana theory.

 

That's what i am talking abou- wait, just a small detail, isnt it better MAOU shoujo than MAHOU shoujo? (Bah dun tsss)

 

Yeah, makes perfect sense. +300 mana per month of age, the increases only starting once he became conscious in his new life. My question is how this isn't just obvious to you and why you are so hung up on denying it.

I will grant that I could be wrong, it's just a theory, but you have not said a single thing yet that shows even the slightest flaw in my theory and in fact every single word you say seems to only back it up.

 

... but its didn't increases per month... I just pointed out that 4 months passed, from the age of 8 months to 1 year, and his mana only increased by 20... and that is even less than it should have increased from gaining the 97 levels.

 

Team Rocket shenanigans, this is.

Ok, finally some good counter evidence. Well then, it's gotta be mana use in that case. We're just missing something in tracking the order of events.

EDIT: This is very early on in the series, that means this is not a plot hole as the author would have a far firmer idea of the lore of their work at this stage and be very consistent with it. And, we do have the later comment about it being related to mana usage. So, if there is an apparent inconsistency somewhere, it's because you missed something.

(NOTE: I would not give Densuke the same degree of credit for more recent chapters. I'm plenty convinced he's just arbitrarily punching in numbers now. I'm certain early on he was pretty on top of it though and only increased the numbers when there was a reason for it.)

 

as I said in a couple of comments ago.. that doesn't make sense either, since he spent about 50,0000,000 mana when looking for darcia and his mana didn't increase even 1 point. The only explination I can think of is the author forgot.

 

Or, maybe it only increases after the mana has recovered perhaps? It's been a while since I read those chapters, but I seem to have vague memories the chapter break was while Van was in the town.

 

Amamiya doesn't appreciate ROMANCE.

 

Though I suppose that is a possibility its difficult to say, he did go home and sleep after retrieving darcia, but can't tell if that fully recovered his mana or not. I am just going to give up on figuring it out.

The detailing on Banda is making that design start to look really good. But... does he have a small child's head on top of that hulking muscular body? Wow! Why is that... so... incredibly unsettlingly accurate to what he actually would probably look like? Good job. You managed to include a feature to really make him look bizzare to someone who was already expecting bizzare.
