It alda faults in first place
raw is out
Blame Alda, blame Alda
With all his self-righteous self
And big head so full of lies
Blame Alda, blame Alda
We need to form a full assault
It's Alda's fault
Could see this coming but nice to see it happen!
Van decides to give Elizabeth a nice little present on becoming ruler of Sauron - a really secure border to the Amid Empire. It's moving mountains time!
I happening! Is finally happening! The prophecies are becoming true! Praise our lord and savior, Vandalieu, the Mountain Mover!
Seriously though, is been 4-5 years IU since he mentioned that?
Love can move mountains. It really is true. Van's love that is
Does it also open up a trade route to his empire? since the mountains have to come from somewhere.
Now I imagine Van moving the mountains with his feet as if it was a sliding door and then *smack* Vidal is revealed and Amid is closed off.
Though that would bring the question over what will happen with the anti-peeping barrier if he does that
Nope. Imagine the boundary mountain range as being several mountains deep (probably at least 50km deep). Van moved some of the outer ones - the inner ones where the magical/godly barrier is attached to are unaffected.
Just the thought :
War starts by Heinz splitting the mountain.
Amid starts marching through the mountain.
Midway van starts repairing the mountain and closes them in or flat out squishes them.
Do they still need it?
Van: Im going to build a big beautyfull wall on the border and Mexic.... i mean Amid will pay for it XD
The barrier is needed to limit the tatics which can be used by Alda forces to attack there. The anti peeping function is just an extra now.
We should worry about the countermeasure against clairvoyance Van has settup, people who ins't guided yet may muster some courage and go there to see the Empire with their own eyes... and get crazy like those Marmuke soldiers back in VS 15 Swords arc.
Faith shall move mountains. Everyone shall prey to Bakunawa, Pete and Van from now on! CONGRATULATIONS VAN!
... While he is making a wall to separate two countries (and Amid will end up paying for it in the long run), I don't think he would appreciate it being compared to the dumbass idea of Trump's wall, is more like the Great Wall of China if anything.
That said if Van start spray tanning himself I am out.
And to drive the point across further it does it multiple times .
that's a lie, not everything is Alda's fault, but it's all Robcorte's fault
universal rule of the death mage:
Vandeliu's love for someone will be equal to the hatred towards whoever hurts her
Didn't he say it occasionally the first time they crossed? in which case almost 10 years, it is good to see that it was worth being patient and going outside being prepared for everything, in addition there is another achievement to celebrate, Pete has just achieved divinity and is the first of his kind, a beast god of growth, who would have thought that a centipede who lived in an initial forest would have the good fortune to fall on the head of a future emperor god and that this would guide him on the path to divinity.
Well now Pete and Bakunawa will be gods, and possibly they will be confused with evil gods, so they better prepare the sacrifices.
A good thing about this chapter is that it explains more about the power scale, sometimes I had doubts about that topic, but here they clarify the scale of each rank
I hope that in the next chapter we see the point of view of the Mirg, Alda or Heinz nation upon receiving the message.
"That Time a Mountain Was Literally Moved"
No Van, no!
Van shows up at Rudel and his supporters place and tells them to pull out all the spies and whatnot they have in Amid now. Rudel first starts protesting that he's not the duke anymore, only for Van to basically counter that as a noble of Sauron he serves at the behest of the duke. He can either do this while alive or while dead. Rudel and his aides quickly choose the "alive" option. As Van explains that the spies need be recalled because he's going to be closing the border between Mirg and Sauron for Elizabeth, the various nobles say if that's all that the spies have various secret routes to get into Sauron and it's no big deal even if Van is going to seriously up the security at known border crossings... only for Van to then explain that, no, he's literally going to close the border. Permanently. With a mountain.
We then cut to Miles, Iris, and Elizabeth watching as Van slowly moves about half of the boundary mountain range on the Sauron side (leaving the part actually protected by the Vida faction gods' barrier) over to the border of Amid and Orbaume, having it slide along slowly like a giant snake. Bakunawa, Pete, and Van sitting in Sam are running around blowing up various monsters in the air that are now running for the lives due to the mountain they live on moving, while adventurers from Vidal and Orbaume like Kasim's group and Hednricksen and the other defecting heroes take out the escaping monsters on the ground.
Iris doesn't understand how this is even possible without causing damage to the water table or other underground issues, only for Miles to admonish her with not keeping up with the various available classes in Vidal now (like geology), and George in his sword to counter that this is Godwin's fault for sticking Iris with all the responsibilities of the Majin nation and running off to fight stuff. Liz meanwhile seems to feel honestly touched by the fact Van is willing to do all this for her ... but she also wonders if Van is sure about this, since this is yet another in a growing line of actions that basically destroys Van's "I'm just a normal person" claims. Like sure, a B-Class or higher adventurer can "change the terrain" to some degree. Earth magicians can build small hills and whatnot. S-class level fighters like Randolph or Schneider or Borkus can even change entire mountains by blowing them up. But moving entire mountains? This is literally the stuff only gods can do. Like the boundary mountain range was made by Vida and company. Iris and Miles then both agree that Van hasn't even thought of that fact. And further it would be best if they didn't bring it up to him. Especially since if Van stopped focusing right now who knows what could happen to the mountain range he's moving.
Finally we get a status sheet for Pete. Apparently he's a Beast King / demigod now. Luciano is quite fascinated by this as he had thought that Beast Kings were exclusively the offspring of the long dead Ganpaplio, and there are no records of a monster evolving into a Beast King. Gufadgarn explains that this is likely due to the fact that Guduranis treated everyone, especially monsters, as disposable pawns, and thus almost all monsters died before they got to rank 14 or higher.
Next chapter's on June 21st.
This whole chapter was just about moving mountains?
Yes, but with style
that and a centipede becoming a god
Will Pete be able to give Divine Protection like Van... nevermind Van, like Deeana or Tiamat? Demigods seens only capable of giving DP if the person is present near them.
Good to hear Hendriksen and many others are already with Van to the point of helping him out with some cleaning. After all, when you move mountains some dust is bond to fall and may endanger ordinary people. -Hendrk needs to pay his transf. Armor too
Anyone is imagining Alda distorting the true and spreading this (the mountains moving and monster wave - running away from Baku, Pete, Van, Sam -attacking mirg shield) is Van's doing and first attack against Amid Holy Country?
Well, Van is likely only clearing the mobs on one side of his new mountain range after all
Separate names with a comma.
