What a mother.. Too bad she doesn't get the retribution in the end. She loves power & famous name than her only son. Even she looked grieve cause of Qiheng's wife death but she still a shrew mother. Rather than fight for Minglan, she propose Rulan a.k.a block QH to pursue Minglan, what a joke.. Then she sad to see QH in tears.. What a big joke! So she told him to pardon her love of power.. What a bigger joke!! And QH pardon her.. What a biggest joke!!! I can imagine this family live a proud life & power, but sad & lonely

Which ones? The Shen family, that concubine ( dead wife sister) keeps causing trouble but the main son trusts her, lord Shen had to beg his son to send her away. Lord Shen’s daughter is the only one of the dead wife’s children that see through her aunt and her mothers family, her brother and sisters trust them completetly. That family planned for her fo marry their son, who is a good for nothing fatso, of course she disagree. They arranged for a daughter to be the Shen eldest son’s concubine ( the son already married a princess) and it caused him to be astranged from his wife. Lord Shen literally begged him to cut off from that family ( you can't mess with the princess). The concubine continue to fight with main wife on everything, even when the main wife wants to do good for the original children ( marriage and school) the other daughter trusted the concubine and got an unhappy marriage far away, this daughter almost didnt get to go school, but she ended up fighting the concubine and got a pretty happy marriage. At the end everyone knows the concubine’s true face and only this daughter would take her in since shes her mothers sister. HuaLan’s maid was just an observer for the stuff happening with the Sheng sisters.
He married a nice girl from another doctor family, they have a good relationship, ( more respect then love). After his mother and grandmother passed away he got cousin back but she kept causing trouble ( trying to get on his bed or sending other people on) it doesn't mention children. His wife notices that he likes to hear noble families gossip ( MC related) and would tell him a lot.
Do you mean MoLan? She stayed with her husband and whenever it seemed like he lost interest she gave him one of her maids as a concubine. Soon her husband’s courtyard was full of them, the mother in law hates her for ruining her son. She never had a son (miscarriage twice, both sons), gave birth to 4 daughters, her husband likes her, but he likes others too. Everytime the family mentions her its like, “of all our brothers and sisters, everyone has a loving marriage and children, except Miss 4th”. Her brother tried to get Lin yiniang back a few times and they would always say she’s a bad influence.

Cousin’s official status was concubine but after his mother died he ignored her, she pretended to be sick a few times, but he's a doctor so that doesn't work. And since she couldn't have children she tried to drug HHW and set him up with her maid as well (again doctor hard to drug), they later found out the maid was already pregnant from her trip to with cousin to visit the Cao family. Whenever the wife punish her HHW’s like, ”shes the madam, your a concubine, its her right”. Her family have been living in poverty, since HHW’s mother dies no one supports them, and their all a punch of drunken gamblers. It wasn’t said if they knew about mc, but even if they did what can they do? Even the He family can’t go anywhere near mc, and there was no proof of her having any connection with the He s.
Oh and her daughters all married low, since she has a bad reputation so people assume she can't raise decent children. She tried to get some of them to marry into the Sheng family( doing really well) but everyone rejected her. After many tries ChangFeng accepted one of her daughters for his concubine born son.
