The way I understand it, he won’t be able to really balance both unless he first achieves amazing control with both. And he’s starting with water, which allow him to better suppress it’s influence and have an easier time training with fire
I feel like in an earlier chapter he had mentioned that his Spirit Turtle cultivation was already so strong that it was suppressing any progress with his Phoenix cultivation. So who knows. But I guess if his control over it reaches such a profound level that he can prevent the suppression and allow room for the Phoenix cultivation room to grow, it might make sense? /shrug Anyway I still wish he worked on the others. Gotta get that circle of growth of elements going that Chu Tian had going, or Xiao An when she first got tested. It was on hiatus but started back up a while ago was doing 2 chaps a day but recently slowed about a week ago so translator probly has rl things going on. Just checked and translator is taking exams so slow chaps for June.
Now that the translator has resumed the normal update speed it's like reaching an oasis in the desert.
