I'm interested, but to be honest, I think it will tank. I just hope this and Supergirl don't take the rest of the comic based shows with them. They are riding a nice high at the moment, but they are just one horrible show away from all being scrapped. Just like Birds of Prey did to the genre back in the 90's. Also surprised the pilot wasn't available online already.
yea that surprised me too, but atleast with LoT all the characters are pre-established so we already know and love some of them.
It has a lot of really popular actors from 10 years ago. Might be interesting, sort of like Hero's but with real comic book people.
Yeah, that is nice, but one of my pet peeves with shows and books is there need to rehash the launching point. My guess is they'll go with a monologue for this. Rip will show up, get the team together, and then explain to the group who each of them is, what they do, and why they are needed. So many books do this, they can't take the chance that the reader didn't read the first 7 books of a series, so they recap it within the first 3 chapters. I like standalone novels, but when you are reading a series, that's just wasting space and annoying folks who already know what is going on.
we shall see, I mean it seems like the CW guys don't do a whole hell of re-hash when they cross over or split series.
I'm curious. Will there be a new show for batman? Gotham is shown in the view of young Captain Gordon... Hmm I wonder...
How To Become A Superhero In The DC Universe: 1. Come from another planet 2. Magic 3. Become friends with/be a billionaire Here in the DC Universe we don't cotton to no radiation nor mutation. Get your superhero on the right way, with alien genetics or mounds of money. Or magic and a bustier.
Yeah I guess you're right, but it didn't really fit in with the previous 3. And technically I might be able to put off the tv series Flash in with #3 because of Harrison Wells.
there is only one reason any of the recent Marvel and DC movies, shows and whatnot have been as popular as they have been: Awesome CGI. when you take the time to realize that they butchered the stories, you understand that the only reason you like it is because it looked cool as fuck. Like, the more recent fantastic four movie. Dr.Doom was . . . shit, they just wrecked his entire character. He didnt even get his awesome armor, you know, the one those monks or whatever forged for him? But in the movies his skin turns metallic or whatever. I mean im sure every FF fan was raging. And even Supes, or all people, killed a guy. WTF was up with that? And that green lantern movie from awhile ago. Really, i think we all know how bad they fucked that one up. Completely wasted decades of comics mythology. And many more examples that i wont say. But because of the great CGI, i know i would still willingly watch whatever they shove down my throat. in short, i will definitely watch the LoT, but not for the plot. It going to be a major flop most likely but i dont really expect any better.
- Rory, trying to be the Doctor - employed by "time-masters" - flies around with a tardis... Even the lever controls look the same - he even uses a sonic screwdriver-looking tool when he fixes the consoles - the first sequence looks like a cybermen invasion I guess it's a... Capt. Jack vs the Master type show. For the multiple Doctor Who references in the show- it's a win for me.
The time travel aspect made me wary of the series. Most would fail in the cause and effect explanation, and ended up as plot armor
