Discussion Lets talk Tea... (Favorite Blends and Recommendations)

Soooooo, I have to admit, I loved tea... ok, maybe I mean a little obsessed, hahahahaha!

I don't drink Alcohol, and I've been trying to limit my coffee. Most Soda is Waaaaaay to sweet for me, and for the same reason, I tend to water my juices down as well.

Suffice to say, Tea is my go-to drink.

I think what I like the best, is the absolute huge variety that's available. No two kinds of tea taste quite the same, and there is a lot of potential for different mixes (not just with other teas!).

What are your Favorite blends and mixes. Or just standalone Teas? Why do you like them?

Morning Pick-me-up
2oz Coffee
4oz Bengal Spice (Celestial brand)
4oz whole milk

Sweeten to taste with Grade-A Maple Syrup.
I Think my favorite by far is a mix of Coffee, Milk and Bengal Spice from Celestial (probably one of their most popular blends). Its warm, spicy and juuuust the right amount of Caffeine to wake me up, but not make me crash. I like to add a bit of Grade-A (or B) Maple Syrup for flavor, but Bengal spice is naturally sweet, so should not need much at all.


Rooibos Black
4oz Rooibos Tea
3oz Black Cherry Juice
1 tablespoon Grade-A Maple Syrup.
1/3 teaspoon Chinese 5 Spices.

I normally don't like Rooibos Tea. Its too bitter and mediciny for me. But I finally found a good mix! Black Cherry juice really compliments the tea's smoother flavors, while not overpowering it like Apple or Cranberry might. A bit of Grade-A Maple Syrup also adds more sweetness and another level of flavor (You'll find its my Sweetener of choice for a lot of things, honestly.) The REAL star of the show here though, is surprisingly Chinese 5 Spices. A little bit easily masks Rooibos's natural mediciny bitterness, while bringing out the Earthy, grassy notes, instead of masking them like just straight up Cinnamon might do. Personally, I use about 1/3 teaspoon, but if you want to try this one for yourself, I recommend playing around with it and setting your own.
The Result is an Unbelievably Smooth and mellow tea that can't really be compared to anything else.

 

My fist thought was osa, you like bland/plain drinks? Then i read the ingredients.. what kind of sodas and juices were you drinking before?

woah sdfsdfsdf I usually drink plain??? tea. No honey or anything, just a tea bag in a mug of hot water unless I'm working with fruit tea (those are sour >o<) Jasmine Chinese tea, Jasmine green tea or anytea jasmine are my usual go to because jasmine smells nice and the teas taste pretty good when they're hot :> the only time I make an extra effort for tea is when I make black tea and pour in some ribena (a blackcurrant drink mix base) to make it sweet lol

I like drinking tea bc it's like drinking water but flavoured and bc there's usually not much of anything else at home besides water, tea, coffee and ribena lmfao
I'm a fan of coffee smells but I get really jittery if I drink it so that's a no-go.

 

I really like a rooibos, strawberry and vanilla tea blend, it doesn't have caffeine, though, if i want something with caffeine i usually have coffe or earl grey or english breakfast, i also love green tea, it's perfect if you eat sweets with it :9, i also love a combination of black tea with orange and cinnamon, it's really comforting

 

Green Tea 1kg pack a year no f***ing bags.
If i feel like it i add ginger or lemon into it.

Most for summer i use fresh peppermint add ginger, lemon, or fresh lemon balm.
Peppermint and lemon balm grows easy.

 

I love tea too. The tea you drink especially when you're having dimsum. Moreso than coffee. The ones that come in a bag of 50 in one box for like 0.64 USD. Tho I heard that drinking too much tea will cause your teeth to stain like those old asian grandpas so now I try to hold off drinking too much tea or wash my mouth with something else

I like powdered milk in my coffee, and sometimes molasses as well.

 

When I have to stay up late for an assignment, I drink up to 2 cups of coffee. Then the morning after that I would have another cup to make myself awake during class. If I didn't have an assignment, the I would be drinking hot chocolate bc in Canada, mornings are specially cold, more so during winter. Oh I used to also have this box of matcha green tea. It was very delicious. I would drink up to 3 cups of it everyday. These days I'm trying to drink green tea where it's usually just the tea bag and some water but I keep forgetting to.

i dont like any sugar or cream

i like this one blend called sky ranch

i suck at cooking so i dont blend my own. also timing is a weakness. its lucky if i steep a teabag correctly, but much yum

Hmmm I have a tea shop about 20 minutes by foot away, so that's where I supply myself. They have ready blends and fancy types of tea (like lazure tea, my last hunt). Thus I just buy ones that smell nicely and pay attention to brewing temperature, time and amount of dry leaves per cup

My favourite huh... I guess it would be great green tea mix.

 

Ummm... kinda hard to categorize. On one hand, sometimes I just drink cheap tea with nothing added, sometimes I drink heavily sugared boba milk teas. I like black tea, green tea, barley, chai, thai, oolong.... I am not a fan of earl grey at all. Also not a fan of fruity teas (the tea bag versions). Fruity teas in boba places are nice. At work though I just bring a huge box of green tea bags that I got from Costco and sip on that occasionally. Oh, also I like Persian tea although I dunno if that's the name. It's just the tea they serve at the Persian restaurant I like to goto and it seems traditional and you put sugar cubes into it.

On-topic-wise... Too much work to list things out, but my tea of the day is David's Tea's Happy Valley Darjeeling.

 

Green tea or coffee. Nothing in between except plain water.

Not too sweet, but just creamy enough to make my day better~~
