Really? I've read it till the latter part of the trial/dungeon world part. Been a long time since though so I might remember things incorrectly. I got some parody vibes like with One Punch Man and I can kinda see the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception expy with the MC's critical point pig butchering thing, his Swords thing, and I kinda remember the Will of the World backstory/plot. Still, it felt like an original story rather than a fanfic. Unless it's a cross of some other Nasu work.

It was not a parody. It was an interpretation of the characters and thus arguably a crossover. It's your choice to read it or not, but it is what it is.
I've already read it and enjoyed it for a while before dropping it due to the latter tower arc and it being dropped by the author. I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just genuinely confused and want to have a discussion to clear up my understanding. Are we talking about the same novel, Absolute Choice by Pear Lands In The Autumn Spring? It seems like a stretch to call it a crossover fanfic of FSN. Inspired maybe? I know it once had a cover with Saber on it, but I can't possibly see how it's "arguably a crossover" since neither the characters, setting, nor magic system was blatantly used. Maybe some personality traits or themes but that's just archetype and inspiration.
I'm not arguing. But it's a fact so there isn't much to explain. One of the major characters Spoiler: name Hero King is clearly Saber. The author even preserved the gist of her backstory.
Dawn Li? But that would just make her more just an expy. She's not actually from Nasuverse Fate/Stay Night and has enough additions and changes to make her not a Captain Ersatz. I'll admit my wrong and that you were right in that since it can be arguably a crossover, but it's still too AU Mega Crossover fusion with heavy original elements for me to define it as a crossover fanfic. I think we just have different interruptions on what constitutes a crossover and fanfic. It's a pointless argument of semantics.
