I am looking for authors and/or novels that are similar to Mao Ni. Well written. MCs and characters are not divided into good and bad, but rather antagonists and protagonists who, for one reason or another, pursue their interests and goals. Characters are not dumb and can use certain schemes to achieve their goals. The characters will experience emotions and feel as if they were alive, not cardboard. (For me, for example, MC Warlock of the Magus World is more like a dead program, and MC The Path Toward Heaven is alive, although both pursue immortality) A standard medieval fantasy setting is preferred, but there may be elements of apocalypse, post-apocalypse and Sci-fi. Preferably completed with complete translation (preferably not mtl).
