So, this discussion is about making clones just for giving 'like' to yourself? I don't understand why multiple accounts should be allowed for the same user if not for fun. So, @ tony allowed multiple accounts for fun but doesn't allow likes? I'm lost.. Can someone explain to me why the gravity of the 'like' bringer is bigger than multiple accounts? I'm lost when I see multiple accounts and I don't know how to treat them - i dislike to repeat myself. Also, if multiple accounts are allowed shouldn't there be, on that user profile, an point/tag/title that shows/links to his alter egos?

 

Not to myself though.

It is, after all, accounts for spamming likes, which is significant for my purposes since I only need few account to make potato first in likes.

 

Having multiple accounts/alter egos doesn't really effect the site, assuming that they aren't using them to violate the rules and are just using them for posting and normal functions. Using multiple accounts for boosting likes is kinda like cheating, and if that kind of action was endorsed there would be plenty of people doing it and the whole like system would become redundant within a week.

 

hmmm it's like this he's only one person if you think about it, unless he proclaims it we wouldn't even know that he has more accounts then all his accounts goes and likes everything for a certain user. Then it becomes cheating. It's forcing someone's way to the top and bypassing someone who deserves to be there because people ACTUALLY LIKED HIS/HER CONTENT. Also if everyone who wants the throne does the same then community will no longer be a healthy community.

Though, anyone can be like potato to post 1000+ message in 5 days, and that wouldn't be cheating.

@AicilaXI, @Tony, @FlowingSong ... Cheating, like asking for likes? Or, like indiscriminate likes? I don't believe in likes, but, I think that there's justice when you say cheating.

Making an account to like another account's posts over and over. Weather that is another of your accounts or someone else's, it doesn't matter.

Well, you don't really even need to make another account, liking everything for no reason other than to boost likes from your main account is an issue too.

 

it's cheating cause it was a FORCED way of going to the top. I mean LIKING someone's post means you actually like them right? and in a sense you don't need 10 accounts to prove you like someone's post. It's like voting for president. You only have 10 people as voters and 2 candidates but because someone made 3 accounts then one president candidate can get 8 votes while the other will only get 5. do you get it?
