Working with the Kidnapper is their young, inexperienced Apprentice. Together, they have set kidnapping everyone in this town as their goal. Now, there are only seven people left in the town, among them a righteous cop, the enforcer of justice, and an amateur medium who knows a bit about the mystical arts. It is up to everyone left in the town to stop the Kidnappers! Will they succeed? Or will they fail, giving rise to the legendary Kidnapper duo? Day Phase lasts 24 hours. Night Phase lasts 24 hours. 2. This is an open setup. All details about roles and mechanics will be revealed publicly. 3. This is not a bastard game. The roles have undergone balancing and the host will not lie arbitrarily. 3. Roles will be revealed honestly upon death. 4. The mafia chat is available during both the Day and Night Phases. 5. The nightly kidnapping is mandatory. The even night executing is not mandatory. 6. There is no last will mechanic. 7. There will be an hour of Discussion Time after the day phase has ended. 8. SOD/EOD is at 3 pm EST. Kidnapping Mechanic: There is a Mafia Kidnapper. Every night, the Kidnapper can kidnap a player, making that player unable to use their abilities, unable to talk in the main thread, unable to vote, and unable to count towards parity for town (the Kidnapper Apprentice counts towards parity even when kidnapped). Kidnappees may not be cop-checked while kidnapped. Kidnapping a player sends them to the anonymous Kidnapper chat on QuickTopic, where they may talk to the Kidnapper. All kidnappees are sent to the same chat. Every night, the Kidnapper Medium will receive three random messages from this chat. Every even night (N2, N4, etc.), the Kidnapper can choose to execute a kidnappee. If the Kidnapper dies, the Kidnapper Apprentice will become the Kidnapper. One kidnappee will also be released. If the Kidnapper Apprentice was among the kidnappees, they are guaranteed to be released. If they are not, the released kidnappee will be chosen randomly. Roles: Town: 1 Alignment Cop, 1 Kidnapper Medium, 5 Vanillas Mafia: 1 Kidnapper, 1 Kidnapper Apprentice Spoiler: Alignment Cop You are the Town Alignment Cop. You win when all threats to Town have been eliminated. You may select a target every night, and you will be told if they are mafia or town. Spoiler: Kidnap Medium You are the Town Kidnapper Medium. You win when all threats to Town have been eliminated. You will be given 3 random messages from the Kidnapper chat every night. Spoiler: Vanilla You are a Town Vanilla. You win when all threats to Town have been eliminated. You have no power other than your voice and vote. Spoiler: Kidnapper You are the Mafia Kidnapper. You win when you overpower the Town and reach parity. You may select a player to kidnap every night. This will make them unable to talk in the game thread, use their abilities, or vote. They will also not count towards parity, if they are town. They will be sent to an anonymous chat where you may speak to them anonymously. Every other night, you may choose to execute a kidnappee, which will permanently remove them from the game. This is not mandatory. If you die, one of the kidnappees will be released. If your apprentice has been kidnapped, this released kidnappee slot is guaranteed to go to your apprentice. In addition, your apprentice will take over your position and become the new kidnapper. You also have access to a mafia chat where you may talk with your apprentice, both day and night. You must kidnap someone every night. If you do not choose your target, the kidnappee will be randomly chosen for you by the host. Spoiler: Kidnapper Apprentice You are the Mafia Kidnapper Apprentice. You win when you overpower the Town and reach parity. You are immune to cop checks while you retain your apprentice status. You have access to a mafia chat where you may talk with the Kidnapper, both day and night. If you are kidnapped, you will also be unable to talk in the thread or vote. However, you will still count towards parity and be able to talk in the mafia chat. If the Kidnapper dies, you will become the new Kidnapper. If you were kidnapped, you will be released. If you were not, one random kidnappee will be released. Lynch: 1. Plurality: the person with the highest number of votes at the end of the day gets lynched. 2. Majority: If at any point of the day, the majority of the players vote on one person, the day will end immediately and that person will be lynched. 3. In case of a tie, one player in the tie will be lynched at random. How to Vote: 1. The only way to vote is to repost the whole vote count and add your vote. 2. If two people use the same list, the second poster will clean up the list and add the first poster's vote. 3. Votes inside quotes or spoilers do not count. 4. Players who have not voted at the end of the day will be given a warning. 5. [No Lynch] is a valid voting option. Posting Requirements: 1. At least 5 posts every Day Phase (24 hours), unless [dead] or [kidnapped] 2. If a player doesn’t meet the required amount of posts within the first 24 hours of the day, they will be prodded (tagged by the host and asked if they can still play the game). 3. If a player does not respond within 12 hours after the first prod or gets prodded three times, they will either be substituted or modkilled.

Amazing I have read the rules and instructions and I have no questions atm. I'm completely new at this (although I have played the mafia game before, but not in forums) so please be lenient on me I apologize, I would probably need to bother you with my newb questions from time to time. @LiLi041
Also, will you post the entire post or just random message inside a post? Because every kidnaped town would just add an extra sentence on every of their post if it were to be the case.
Am I right in thinking the kidnapper doesn’t know who the apprentice is? Otherwise, is there some incentive for the kidnapper to kidnap their own apprentice? I am also fairly new. This is my third game, and my last two had a different format and were over a year ago. I also will probably be acting like a noob from time to time, sorry.
Messages have numbers assigned to them... like "message 1, message 2, etc" So I'll just randomize the numbers chosen every night The message pool will consist of only those messages from the current day/night phase, so it's not from the whole chat.
The whole post I'll implement some "you aren't allowed to edit your posts" rules in the chat, thanks for pointing this out!

The Kidnapper will know who the Apprentice is. They share a mafia chat that is always open. As for incentive, hehe, you guys can discuss that! All good!
Actually guys, I'm like panicking kinda since I just realized I have lots of unfinished homework for my class that starts in 10 minutes.
