I'm only half awake so I won't break out my entire BL list, but I recently found a historical, no cultivation novel. Fei Pin Ying Qiang it only has 11chapters out, but I am really enjoying it.

Feng Yu has political intrigue if I remember correctly, but I read the manga, not the webnovel, so who knows if it's the same.
you could try Founder of DIabloism, I think it's completely translated (mostly) and while it's not historical, it is set in a cultivation world, has a good plot and the MC is smart. I tend to go for quick wear, horror, entertainment or the very occasion cultivation story so I can't help much with the historical stuff.

If you haven't already read them I recommend MXTX's (Mo Xiang Tong Xiu) novels. She has 3 and they're all completed! The Founder of Diabolism / The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (Mo Dao Zu Shi), Scum Villain Self Saving System (Ren Zha Fan Pai Zi Jiu Xi Tong) and Heaven Official’s Blessing (Tian Guan Ci Fu). They're all Xianxia, and the Scum Villain MC is a transmigrator.
