Recommendations LOOKING for a MC like Hidden assasin

novel plot should be in modern era
everyone despise him cause he is weak but in actual he is very strong (not OP if possible)

 

I'll squat around for this one.

Mostly one's I've found myself are assassins that for some reason decided to change their careers into being a gamer instead and then bring their assassin skills into the game world.

For instance Shadow Rogue

Or Otherwordly Evil Monarch where an Assassin is killed in modern world and pushed into the cultivation world so doesn't fit your bill.
