Looking for a music/sound editor that i can use to shorten or lengthen music, preferably site based but downloaded is fine. Conditions: - Free to use - Simple and user friendly - doesnt require any sort of account to use.
Audacity is a good editor. It's free, open source, available on Windows, Mac and Linux too. Here's the link: https://www.audacityteam.org/
Audacity works well for me but I don't really do much besides re-encoding (FLAC -> MP3 for a shitty player that couldn't handle flac) or trimming so don't know if it's any good for actual editing.
I use Adobe Audition and Audacity for mixing and Melodyne for pitch correction. For start I reccomend Audacity because it have small size and easy to learn, you can also add multiples preset and vst.
