I'm looking for a novel with calm protagonist like the MC from Advent of archmage or the Novel's Extra where the MC is not that strong at first but he can use his power efficiently. Btw I've already checked the calm protagonist tag btw but still couldn't find any that suits my taste.
Most Korean novels fit this bill. Also, MC from Novel's Extra is pretty strong. I mean even his original body made it into Cube which is the best school in the country.
Coiling Dragon is also quite good and he is calm thought the MC doesn't really fight in the very beginning .

Cultivation Chat Group (normal college kid stumbles on modern cultivation. hilarious, although it's a Qidian novel and takes a while to get rolling plotwise) My Disciple Died Yet Again (bugfixer programmer gets dumped in a cultivation world with a game system and "bugs". I see this one on your reading list but it's marked unread? I'd read it if you haven't yet.) The Scrap Princess and the Knights of the Round Table (not sure how to describe this one... but the protagonist is female, can defend herself, and is a calm if pushy person) I kinda also want to plug Godsfall Chronicles. However, I wouldn't call the protagonist in this story 'calm' so much as 'really optimistic'. The world is brutal to him and he reacts emotionally to it (it's post apoc) so it may not be what you're looking for.
