Preferably Japanese history on sengoku period. No yaoi, no shoujo and please don't recommend me novels like Oda Nobunaga being a female, etc. Time travel/transport/reincarnation would be a huge PLUS.

Something like JIN or Nobunaga No Chef.

I think there was this one novel @Daily was translating that had a history fanatic transferred into a guy that was not nobunaga. The translation is quite slow however...

I consider this the Japanese epic competition to Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Right off the top of my head I can only think of "The Ravages of Time" manhwa, which is a retelling of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Most Japanese LN/manga about the Sengoku Jidai are quite gimmicky and involve gender change (Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Battle Girls: Time Paradox).

A Step into the Past is a good historical novel, as long as you can handle reading about the MC's women dying painfully
    Chinese novel though.

Don't know any serious JP historical novel.

Already read that book, but seriously there isn't any translated novels about Sengoku Period without those gender change.

2 chapters? Did they drop it?

I don't know if it's a novel, but there's manga, anime and tv series (i think) of Nobunaga's cook. Don't remember the name. Basically a guy with amnesia wakes up in a blacksmith's house and somehow gets forcibly recruited as Nobu's personal cook.

There's also something with a dude transported into the body of some general's son that was killed on the battlefield. I think it's set in Nobunaga's time, but on the opposite side. It's been some time, so i can't remember well, but i think his province is supposed to be conquered by Nobunaga and his family executed. The initial plot should be focused on trying to prevent that. Also, i don't know if it's a novel, manga or TV series.

Seriously, we lack decent Japanese historical genres.
