    Are there any movies about an eventual World War III? Even if it's just to show what'd really happen if one springs up. Like, a movie set in the modern day where all the countries go into war with modern weapons and nuclear bombs. I'd like to see something similar, just the see the devastation that such war would leave behind nowadays should it really come to it.

    There is a 1998 movie called 'World War III', you can check it if you want.
    There is also the 2005 movie 'War of the Worlds'
    Aside from those two, I guess 'avenger age of ultron' can be more or less considered, maybe

    Most movies are after WWIII. If you consider Red Dawn as a start. This has a new adaptation also.
