Recommendations Looking for recommendations based on this music

Since my trading gems post didn't quite get me enough to comb trough and not being specific didn't help the cause, I thought I will share my likes by asking for novel recommendations based on the mood of this music:

The Great Storyteller. This music made me think of the novels the MC wrote.

 

Thanks for the recommendation, although I don't really like when authors write about great fictional authors, since you said it fits the music I'll give it a try just this once, btw I forgot to mention, but I'm extremely picky

Hmm, suicide, tragedy tags, I usually don't like those, does the music really sound so dark? I feel like it's more light-hearted.

So what this most reminded me off my reading list would be:
Lucy Blanchett Remembered - It's not a long story, but it's a tale about a girl with extraordinary magic, however the magic came at a great cost. Every time she uses it, she permanently loses a valuable memory.

 

Not really into shoujo or female protagonists novels but it sounds interesting so I'll be putting it on my to-read list, thank you for the recommendation!

This is smth like walking when it's snowing, at night and lots of stars showing.

So tags like... maybe tragedy? Prolly romance and separation? Going your own way, unsure of the future, but a little hope? I dunno, I'm drinking and trying to sound smart.

 

Well, you went a lot more in-depth than me about this song, tbh I just think it sounds cool XD

 

It's a somber tune with the repeating elements giving a feeling similar to a daily grind or or a long struggle. Makes me think about characters that have expansive training arcs by their lonesome.

Perhaps Everyone Else is a Returnee might be a good companion to that song. At least at the beginning, later on that story becomes more bombastic and that doesn't fit the tune.

 

I did read that one a while back and liked it but dropped it for some reason, I think something in the story just irked me the wrong way so much that I straight up went like "nope", but in general korean novels feel to me like very weird reads and don't get me started on the sheer amount of ntr mangas XD

 

This is such a unique way to ask for novel suggestions, I wanna try it myself! I also agree with @LaDyViL regarding Lord of the Mysteries.

Sadly I don't have any suggestions of my own but that scratching noise reminds me of a phonograph, so maybe books set in the 1900s would do? European-inspired settings with horse carriages, gentlemen in studies smoking their pipes, fog and mystery and magic...

Haha, if you're up for anime maybe Gosick could be a good aesthetic fit.

 

Cool, I'll be sure to post my suggestion if you decide to do the same , thanks for the mood interpretation and the anime suggestion! btw generally there is a music type called lofi (low fidelity) which gives somewhat of a similar feel to scratches and lightly broken records, if you're interested.
