So it is either that ancient sun god died in Chernobyl or Klein is someone from the past and this is still earth that changed due to some "mysterious" Catastrophe, commencing the beginning of the first epoch
Or the word could just be used metaphorically. The place could be the source of all the pollution or something along those lines.
Head mod of LOTM's Chinese forum asked the author already, its not fallout earth style scenario. So it's likely that Ancient Sun God named it for memes, since he got Sun Pathway power, he probably thought about how hilarious it would be if he is radioactive, and named this place Chernobyl for the meme value. He probably find it hilarious when someone writes "the great lord awaken in the great palace of CHERNOBYL" with a dramatic pose. So this shows another weakness of Amon, he took everything his dad said way too seriously, believing everything about his dad to be amazing. Ancient Sun God could be joking about how "awesome" "Chernobyl" is and Amon would have taken it seriously, cause his dad never told him how the jokes work. He idolized his dad as much as Bernedetta idolized Roselle, unaware that both ASG and Roselle were laughing from the in-joke half of the time. So Klein could potentially completely blind side him due to this.
In fact this could explain why Adam never handed Klein to Amon, perhaps he already knew that Amon wouldn't be able to steal the Source Fort. Adam due to being in the Visionary pathway could probably tell when their dad was joking, but Amon couldn't, and when Adam told his brother that their dad was joking, Amon didn't believe him. its possible that Amon's lukewarm relationship with Adam is due to Adam telling him that their dad wasn't always divine, and that pissed him off, cause he couldn't believe it.
All the Tarot member have prayed, and something is happening in the Castle of Origins. And of course the word that would make many fans speculate Chernobyl.
It could be that beyond characteristic is a form of radiation, and that place is the source of radiation, hence the meme name by ancient sun god.
I dont think so, he didnt name it, he said that was his ancient name. It mades sense if they are in future earth, since is one of the few places in earth made to last a long time. Although not that long in the future
Actually, I think that this world being future earth would make much more sense that LoM being isekai novel. I mean we have so many god like beings, mystical elements etc., but MC and others being isekai-ed still doesn't make sense. This novel has been great so far when it comes to plot building, but isekai element feels like a major plot hole. For example, why and how is gray fog connected to parallel earth. Furthermore, why would it take some random people from other world in which magic supposed to not exist and bring them into LoM world? This novel taking place in the future would make it easier to avoid those pitfalls. It wouldn't be the first time when something like this happened. For example, there is a certain novel on NU (and with high rating I might add as well), which I shall not name in order to avoid spoilers, but basically it was A CULTIVATION novel where energies turned out to be radiation, ability to cultivate - human evolution let absorb radiation and some divine stuff simply a very old relic from the past/modern technology. I could see timeline going like this, Klein made the ritual>later something happened to the world that introduced new laws (aliens, lovecraftian gods, meteorite, radiation - anything similar)>being begun to adapt aka beyonder characteristics appeared and beasts got super powers etc.>entire gray fog castle was created/appeared>much older Klein, Russele and others got involved with it (maybe research, maybe were captured)>their souls were extracted into cocoons that Klein saw>a long time has passed>souls somehow begun to escape from cocoons and managed to get new bodies (like Russele and Klein). If I am not missing anything, then it would still work with what we all know so far, for example with Klein's Antiquity Scholar ritual requirements.
It's a clone that is attempting to capture Origin Castle. Even if it gets destroyed somehow , it wouldn't harm Amon. Maybe Klein really loses the Origin Castle.
That doesn't explain why the knowledge of the world regressed tho, the story is in Victorian era, and if lotm was future earth then how did the knowledge regress?
