I actually kinda agree with her. There was never going to be anything between the two of them and she was better off looking elsewhere

 

Exactly Xue even said himself that he never was romantic to her... In fact the thing that made him angry was that she was dissing his martial arts path, not even the fact that she was considering another man didn't anger him......

She should've left long ago after she realized they weren't compatible. Although, I can understand why she stayed. Besides the obvious safety net there's also the fact she was also a student of that mage guy and her father and her paid for that. Leaving meant using more funds towards her magic education.

At the very least she did not do the typical bitch xianxia move when girls/women are found out and start berrating the MC when they're discovered to be not what they advertise. She just walked away realizing the bridge was burned.


Right now the MC is not husband/boyfriend material to any girl really, he's too fixated, too one-track minded to bother building a proper relationship with anyone.
The MC doesn't even have a friend right now, the only people we've seen more than 2-3 times at this time is his 2 servants, his little brother and that guy with thr union thingy representative in his county. Three of them are basically family and another one is his job giver/information broker.


Overall I felt nothing over this because we had like.. No interactions between her and the MC besides the meeting and a few lines after the this current timeskip.

All it did was make the MC understand he doesn't know a lot of people, although I don't have high hopes that this will change anytime soon.

 

I bet IET got suffering from love when he write this novel, both brother betrayed by woman ugh my heart....

 

Xue Ying seriously dropped the ball in raising his brother, the kid's basically useless. I get that he was sheltered and he's only a teenager, but still.. you gotta do something about your brother LXY, he's going to get himself killed at this rate.

 

It's interesting where her priorities lied. She felt LXY tempering himself and growing stronger was a waste, and he should have spent all his time trying to get into her pants. Someone has a high f*cking opinion of themselves.

 

No she merely felt that they basically had a very minimal relationship. Yes it was more then the other people in the castle, but I'm not even sure I could call them friends. Maybe a close acquaintance at best. If he wanted a relationship he needs to be willing to do something. He ignored her beyond some casual companionship, so she used him in return.

 

I dunno, she seems like an attention whore who needs to be pampered all the time. Although it is difficult to seduce someone you only ever see on occasion when you deliver food. I personally like Ji Qing as a potential partner, maybe they'll meet up on some missions in the future.

 

she didn't do the typical bitch move because she was obviously very afraid at that moment, same as her brother. Even if LXY really did build a nice relationship with her, sooner or later she would leave him for someone who is better than him.
She is just that type for girl.

I had to laugh a little bit at the demon follower father and possibility of his wife and his daughter as well. It feels awfully convenient that this pops up days after he had his first encounter with such being that left him a strong feeling.

But truly, bros before hoes! Maybe the brothers will spend more time together after this.
