Discussion Luck VS Destiny VS Hard Work

For sometime due to some reasons im really thinking about luck and destiny in my spare time (while reading novels ofcourse). The reasons being that ive been either set up for failure or ive been handed a great opportunity. In novels you will see the writer describing the MC's luck or destiny and you will see them rise to the occasion but in the end you will know that they wont fail or even better get a better powerup. For me whenever i fail at something or having a bad day/week i blame it on destiny and whenever something good happens i ascertain its good luck.

Anyways, my topic is mostly asking you that do you believe in lucky/unlucky encounters or that we are following a road of/to destiny or that it is combination of the two. Or you guys can take the high road and just say its all Hard Work.

 

Basically, you are being lazy? Right? -_-

Yes, I believe in the path of sloth.

 

I prefer a mix between hard work and destiny because luck it just to much for me but not to much hard work or it's just to much grind for me

if we could calculate the world there would be no luck, luck is only a result of uncertain happenings, but they wouldn't be uncertain if we could calculate it. thats my take on it.

'Damn I want some pizza'

honestly theres no such thing as luck, luck is basically just the variables in life you cant calculate consciously, cause and effect are much more accurate every action has a cause and effect many of whom will be inconsequential others will drastically change your life, for instance say someone asks you to buy a lottery ticket you say no not knowing its a winning ticket and you will probably never learn it was a winning ticket it has no effect on your life since you cant even regret for you never learned it was a winning ticket but had you said yes it would have drastically changed it. some people call this bad luck for the person who said no but really its just cause and effect

 

Hmm one's good luck can be often described as other bad luck. I mean if you pick up money then someone had to lose it first. One can of course say destiny depends on luck and hard work since it is often predictable yet so random at the same time.

 

Luck is a part of destiny, and hardwork is being written in the destiny. One more fact that we have to know, is that no one know their own or other peoples destiny.

For example, no matter how OP is the god in the novels, or how much hardwork the MC does, they all nothing in front of author plotlines

 

Luck make our succes comes faster!
Destiny were fixed whether we work on it or not it would happen, ex:death(final destination reverence)!
Hardwork we live by working(breathing, heart beating, brain thinking)

 

I'd say luck and destiny are pretty much the same thing. Maybe it should be luck vs talent vs hard work.

You can't rely on destiny & luck to much. You just have to keep working hard as it is. If your lucky, then your lucky, if your not, then your not.

 

No such thing as luck for me, only opportunities.
Having the guts take it or not is the question.

Destiny and fate is basically a timeline it depends on which timeline you are in since the moment your born a paradox is born with it and basically depends on the choices you make but in hindsight it's already made before you make a choice hence the destiny and fate part one insight I gained
Oh and in a way destiny luck and hard work kinda copliments well if you look at this way luck is irratic at random moments really funny too anyway while destiny is basically your future time depending on how hard you work on it I think

Both luck and destiny are abstract concepts we invented because of our inability to perform the necessary calculations to predict things.
Hard work is the only thing you can actually control so you shouldn't bother with the other stuff.

 

Well I believe in hard work and some bit of luck. A bit of luck is good for opportunity but you need a lot of hard work to make it more satisfying and shows growth.
For destiny is unknown and not reliable. I don't really believe in destiny in IRL lol
