Innumerable trials tested them again and again, from their mortal enemies the Dire until all sort of psycopath bent on nothing but chaos. These enemies outside made their bond stronger, for they were weak by themselves and only by uniting together that they could have hope to survive. Finally, after the embers died and the dust settled, the Radiant stood battered and bloodied - but triumphant. The Dire destroyed and its remnant scattered to the wind, the disorganized Neutral rabbles crushed by sheer number, and even the Unspekaable Ones beaten back to the pit where they belong. Golden age dawned. And yet, good times never last. Decadence and corruption took root as the Radiant lose the one thing chaining them together - the presence of outside threat. Factions form, differing philosophy further driving the chasm that broke apart the once illustrous superpower. They forgot that only by uniting together they could stay strong, blinded by greed of becoming the single faction lording over the Radiant. The inner conflict allowed some surviving Dire leaders to reunite their own faction amidst the chaos, yet after being surpressed for so long, the weak-minded ones wasn't all that resistant to collide with the enemies. And now, it all culminated into one final clash. The Radiant's corrupt ruling factions would try their best to slay their rivals, even as they consolidate the free folks. Meanwhile the United Creep Confederacy, still true to the way of the Radiant, would attempt to deconstruct the ruling factions amid the chaos. In the darkness the Dire moved, long-seething lust for vengeance permeated them even as traitorous element infested their ranks. Could the Radiant regain their lost glory? Or would a new Dire tear it from the smoldering, dead hands of their eternal foes? If anything's certain, mountain of corpses and river of blood shall mark the rise of the victors... Spoiler: Civil War Factions and Victory Conditions Minimum of 21 players, 16 Radiants and 5 Dire. 3 Traditional Faction 3 Modern Faction 5 Creep Union 5 Free Creep 5 Dire Traditional Faction: Start with 1 Leader and 2 Lieutenants. Must kill Modern Faction's leading figures, Dire's leading figures, and all Creep Union. Every night the faction may recruit someone into the faction, kill a member of the faction, or kick out all recruited members. However, only Free Creeps or 1 Traitorous Dire will truly join the faction. The rest will plot against it. If the Leader is killed, a surviving Lieutenant will be promoted into leadership. Lieutenant players may decide who get it if both are alive. If all leaderships is slain, the Traitorous Dire may assume the Leader position. Modern Faction: Start with 1 Leader and 2 Lieutenants. Must kill Traditional Faction's leading figures, Dire's leading figures, and all Creep Union. Every night the faction may recruit someone into the faction, kill a member of the faction, or kick out all recruited members. However, only Free Creeps or 1 Traitorous Dire will truly join the faction. The rest will plot against it. If the Leader is killed, a surviving Lieutenant will be promoted into leadership. Lieutenant players may decide who get it if both are alive. If all leaderships is slain, the Traitorous Dire may assume the Leader position. Creep Union: Start with 5 Radiant Creeps. Must kill Modern and Traditional Factions' leading figures, and all Dire. If the leaders of Modern or Traditional Faction is wiped, the Radiant Creeps they have recruited will automatically joins the Creep Union. Free Creeps: Not a faction. All Radiant Creeps outside Creep Union falls under this category. Must kill all Dire. If recruited into a faction, follow factional goal. Dire: Start with 1 Leader, 1 Lieutenant, and 3 Traitorous. Must kill all Radiants, and recruited Traitors. Every night the faction may kill someone, decided by the Leader. Traitor additionally may switch victory condition into recruiting faction. Leader knows how many Dire Traitor have been recruited into foreign faction. First Leader have one extra lives. If Leader is killed, Lieutenant will become the Leader and a random unrecruited Traitor will become Lieutenant, losing their Traitor status. Other Notes: Investigative roles will reveal role instead of affiliation. The factions may pick which heroes to play from a limited pool. I guess this means @A5G_Reaper plans to try something big/small depending on the amount of players? I can imagine this list going near 30+ ppl if we really inv previous people.
