    OOC: Some recommendations for HP/ATK values if you want to look at them.
    Rebel Warrior: 25 HP - High HP, would take quite a few hits to kill off. 2 Base ATK.
    Rebel Archer 15 HP - Low HP but isn't killed off as soon as the game starts. 4 Base ATK.
    Rebel Mage: 10-15 HP - Very low HP but would maybe be able to survive 1 or 2 attacks. 5 Base ATK for magical attacks, 1 Base ATK for normal attacks.
    Minotaur: 35 HP - Extremely high HP, would take a while to kill off. 5 Base ATK.
    Traitor Guard: 20-25 HP - High HP, would take quite a few hits to kill off. 3 Base ATK.
    Governor: 15 HP - So the Governor doesn't die off instantly but isn't too tanky. 1 Base ATK.

    No of players = n
    Starting board size (floor(21+2n+n^0.5)) x (floor(21+2n + n^0.5))
    Every two turns the board size reduces by one (place that governor selected to start at would not be reduced) (else everyone will just sit down at a place for ambush)
    Also scattered weapons/buffs on the map
    Also people won't know others position (except that of governor). Others position will only be revealed if the person is in attack range or at a distance of less than 3 squares provided they are not in stealth

    ((Sounds good. Also, I'm thinking, in order for the ambush to work, the governor should be given a copy of the map to first draw where he wants his troops, but the rebels aren't aware.))

    Players should be able to move quite far unless blocked by a monster otherwise Governor will be able to win with just mass stealth monsters at his home base.

    ((I think I wrote that monsters are just fodder, and only one unit of monster can be present at each square. Also, Governor's home base counts as 6 squares, but the Minotaur and the Trait Guard aren't on his side.))

    Exactly. After this every player will select there positions in random order. If two of them select same position, then they are unlucky

    That's the problem as monsters start with 21 can be placed around entrance and inside manor at the start they then go into stealth and as Governor controls the monsters he can stall out constantly because they are all in stealth hence forcing adventurers into a long and drawn out conflict.

    OOC: Perhaps give a -50% attack penalty for all monsters in a 5 tile radius of the Governor building so that Governor can't camp?

    ((I said the Governor starts with 5 units of monsters and gets 1 unit every two turns...what 21 monsters...))

    Nerf governor to one random monster every three turns and modify monsters attack to increase with distance from the governor (upto a maximum limit). Also lower base damage of monsters and let that have lower health.
    Also give everyone a moment speed out of combat in squares/turn

    OOC: What's the Monster base ATK/HP ? I'd suggest something like there are 3 monster types to summon. This fine?

    Insect Horde/Swarm - 3 ATK 5 HP Fast SPD, is a strong hitter that has a lot of speed but is very easy to kill. ( Can be summoned every other turn )
    Goblins - 2 ATK 10 HP Balanced Speed, is a decently strong hitter that has decent speed with a decent amount of HP. ( Can be summoned every 3 Turns. )
    Kobolds - 3 ATK 15 HP Balanced Speed, is a strong hitter with a decent amount of speed and HP ( Can only be summoned every 5 Turns)

    You can never tell these things until you actually play the game but Kobolds may be a little under powered because of summoning time. Swarm seems fine to me though.

    OOC: Yep, probably true on the Kobold part, but I only put it like that so that you can't spawn a goblin one turn then a Kobold or something the exact next turn it'd just become of a game of 'Can you beat this monster faster then I can summon it' without any need for strategy for the most part.

    Assuming each player has 1 turn to attack to kill all monsters summoned in 5 turns it'd take at least a waste of 4 player attacks to kill them off, probably more, and they'd probably be damaged a bit.

    Yeah but you will generally have 3 invaders against 5 monsters. then on the 5th turn a new kobold appears on 10th turn you have 1 kobold defending and so it's a loss in 10 turns.

    For the alpha development level this game is, it is fine. But will need to tweak the values if we actually play test the game
