Hi everyone after year read fantasy novel I'm starting to loss interest in it. So I hope you guys can give me recommendation novel that doesn't have magic or immortality. It's fine if it doesn't translated just please give me a link for raw. Note : -I hope there was romance but it's fine if it doesn't have romance too. -There no traveling between future and past like my father in law is lu but. -no all capable or easy get rich like extraordinary genius or I'm In Hollywood (I prefer something like the famous millionaire, the great storyteller, good of money, Superstars of Tomorrow) -no face slapping novel like I'm really superstar or a valiant life -for historical military novel I hope there was no technology gap (even if there is I hope it was not to obivious) -MC need to have a back bone, he is not afraid to killing And lastly NO YURI or YAOI !!!! Madan no Ou to Vanadis Doesn't suffer from Japanese MC problems. He isn't a pacifist but he doesn't have a murder boner either. He will kill people in battle or those who try to kill him. The large army battles are very well done. Harem is ok and there are some magic weapons but they are more like tactical nukes and many battles still are determined through tactics and army size.
Youjo Senki I remember this and I think I stopped at the Black Bow arc or was it the 3rd or 4th war arc? It was a good harem light novel. Worth reading, especially there are no actual OP characters and things are balanced.

I will pass then, I hate MC with no back bone. I had the e-book version of this novel but I put it on hold first.
I currently reading Lord of mystery as for throne of magical arcane I drop it long ago I actually I want to read this but I read few JP Novel and MC majority MC has no back bone hold me. I will check it out thanks.

Closest ones that I could think of are mangas: Gunka no Baltzar Ad Astra: Hannibal to Scipio But for novel, if you don't mind a bit of fantasy, try Youjo Senki (WW1 tech, but i/o flying aces in fighter planes, you got flying mages here)
I already watched Youjo Senki, I will cek the other 2. Akuyaku Reijo Ni Koi Wo Shite Ashes and Kingdoms Tales of the Reincarnated Lord Already read them, I will cek a hero war.
Maybe my post was confusing, he has a backbone, he kills those who come to kill him and has no problem killing soldiers but he doesn't slaughter villagers. He is even willing to poison wells of his own villages to to stop invading armies even rhough it will destroy the livelihood of those villages for years (he feels bad about it and it is a hard decision but he still does it.)
It look interesting, to bad I'm against reading novel that author dropped or hiatus, because hate the feeling when I read unfinish novel. Thanks anyway.
I'm putting it on hold to wait more chapter, I remember reading it till chapter 8 and the last time I checked, it was still chapter 13. I must say will you update this novel more frequently any time soon ?
I hired a separate translator for it but that didn't work out. I have a translator who has college graduation to worry about who will be able to take over when the translator is done with it. Long story short, in the future but not anytime soon
