    Looking for novels that have animals growing up with or accompanying the mc, the arc in ISSTH with the blood pup just tugged my mangled heartstrings, and some others that I cant remember had the mc accompanied by a lifelong familiar which provided comfort when nothing else could. Ironically the only reason I remembered I liked the trope was cause I put off studying for my calc final by watching Game of Thrones for the first time, just started the first episode and the wolf pup scene got me going even though from what I hear shit might be not be so good for long.
