Spoiler saint son had at least a a great realm above Lin Ming and he used the bead but was beaten. Lin Ming had a true god treasure to match saint son’s. The stakes of the bet were Moxian’s hand in marriage and the two techniques to reach true god that the saints had. Lin Ming immediately becomes one of the most important humans and has equal status to an empyrean because of this. The saints tried to kill him after but was stopped since they didn’t have any true gods around so they were forced to give up the prize. They got to keep the bead and it eventually goes to the saint emperor
