Discussion Mass Release vs More daily chapters

Daily is always better. Mass release if the series is just only small chapters, 5 or more chapters mass release in a week maybe ok I guess.

 

for F5 practitioner ... probably YES!

 

Daily release if the story is slow paced but if there will be any cliffhangers a mass release would be better.

 

Depends on the work and the content. There are some stories that lend themselves very nicely to daily releases, while others just don't. It also depends on the arc in question. Some arcs are incredibly exciting, but that can be diminished by needing to wait a day for the next release. Or the opposite, the arc is boring and it's drawn out even more because of daily releases. Outside of situations like that there are no real drawbacks to daily releases.

Good job reviving TNC, just picked it back up last night after I drooped it because Wuxiatranslation stopped updating.

 

I guess a mass release every 2 months as that would get me enough actual story with a good chunk more than I'd receive per week. I mean who in this community doesn't let chapters pile up to a certain mark? Me my minimum is 10 to 15 chapters my high? Well I have multiple stories I haven't read in 6 months that are well over 200 chapter marks... With new stories being produced every few months and old stories piling up who can be bothered to stay up to date on stories just to read a single chapter every 2 days? A mass release will not only get you involved into the story but immerse you without being a tease.

Say for example you get a chapter every 2 days for a total of 3 chapters per week and on the last chapter for that week there was this HUGE exciting event that would be over in a few chapters but you have to wait 2 or 3 days for the next chapter and maybe even a week or 2 for its conclusion. As a mass release the TL can be a lil more lenient I mean they've already waited a few months whats another week for a few chapters to wrap up a huge event?

I'm sure the fans would love it more if they weren't left with cliff hangers they'd completely forgotten about 2 months after! This is if the TL has informed the readers that they'll be taking additional days to complete a few cliff hanger chapters as there are a lot of complainers and unappreciative bastards who just want and through a tantrum if they don't get in a timely manner.

 

Daily is better. It keeps consistency of story. I tend to forget details of story if there is mass release cuz then i wait for next mas release.

When I see a new series I check to see how long it is and how frequent the chapters are released, when i see things that get releases every 2 months I tend not to read them.

You gotta remember that this is a crack addiction and without a regular fix I'll find somewhere else to get it.

Seriously, from someone who works in online marketing, advertising and SEO. Daily updates would help you more, especially if you are monetizing your site. For example, if you do daily releases you can have thousands of visitors every day and if you have Google adsense on your site, then you could have a daily profit. Now, let's say you get at least $10 for adsense every day, then every week you get $70, $300 per month and $3650 per year.

If you do it by bulk. then not only you miss on the daily earnings you also harm your site because of the massive amount of traffic you will receive. This will crash your site.

Of course, the things I am saying would only apply if you are planning to monetize your site.

 

What I want is a decent continuous work...every 2 months doesnt look nice to me...
