Hi everyone, first time requesting a novel. I am looking for a novel with good story line and has a main character like the one in Evolution Theory of the Hunter. I have been reading too many messed up novels with messed up main characters lately, this one gave me a refreshing feeling. What i like about this dude is Spoiler his tolerance, no matter how bad he's been treated, he doesn't bitch and whine or think of revenge and stuff, his thoughts are always '' I hope i never encounter this person ever again after i get the hell out of this situation'' I like how he doesn't kill people on a whim but also doesn't runaway when the situation calls for it, i like how he treats his team members especially the girl he saved her from the rape attempt, i like how he's not an idealistic. Anyway i'd prefer if it's also a game setting but i don't mind any other setting as well. And no Japenesse novels please, i always find myself dropping them in mid way.

If you stopped reading there maybe. But he isnt a scumbag, far from it. He just thinks about profit. He always says he would use people without any regard if it is in the face of profit, but so far, havent seen anything like that. He feels tsun tsun to me lol. I would give it a try again. I love the novel because it isnt driven by revenge, he just has a goal and sails through life semi-leisurely. I think he resembles a little bit the MC from evolution theory, the level-headneaa of his at least. I hate how dense the MC from ETOH is though.
If you want a story where the MC always stay positive no matter how bad his situation is, then try Totem. It's one of my favorite and I always admire his perseverance and attitude no matter how much bad luck come his way.
You'll probably like "Heaven Awakening Path". The MC has that shanks from OP kind of vibe, he doesn't give a shit when people mock him or try to kill him. He'll only get mad if someone tries to kill his friends. About magus, awesomedude you can't say he's not a scumbag and that he'd do anything even the dickiest move for profit. I can't stand evil MC, I don't mind them killing enemies for "self protection" but killing for treasures or because they feel like it or killing innocent like MGA or ATG it's a no no.
King's Avatar, I've never seen an MC handle his enemies as well as this guy. Arena, he doesn't start off as quite what you're looking for, but he develops into it. Life Mission, maybe. Its too early to be certain, but it seems to be headed in the direction you want.
