Almost sure it was a manga, but may be wrong. Ok, so the title does not really fit, but it was the closest I could thing of, the idea here is that The MC is a really popular Lady Killer at his school, and is a famous playboy surrounded by a group of girls. Here's the kicker though, turns out the MC was actually really set on Monogamy and just really, really dense (not stupid, just dense). The girls around him thought that they had a special relationship, but to Him they where just really close friends, close to family. Something or another happens ( I forget if they bring it up, or he tells them he found a girlfriend or something else, don't know), and when they find out, they are brokenhearted, cutting their ties with a MC. The MC, realizing he really hurt these girls (again, super dense, but not Stupid) he thought of as his best friends, sets out to try and repair their relationships. All of this happens in like the first 2-3 Chapters, and the rest of the story is him trying to get his friends back. pretty sure it it did not end with Him just taking them all, he was big on maintaining that platonic relationship which he thought he had in the first place. its a strange story that you think is going to be just another Harem story, but ends up as a pretty heartwarming struggle.
It was very much a Drama, but hey managed to pull it off in a way that was heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking.
So Dense MC + Harem + Drama + Dense MC realizing his Density + Officially Harem? Well.....this sound interesting. I'm just gonna lurk here for the answer
It was actually a really interesting idea you could tell that the MC really cared for each girl (in a platonic way), and really wanted to get back what they'd lost.
No, the way it was going (I lost it before I could finish it), He only ever ended up with 1 girl, those that he was able to reconcile with, while it was hinted some still had feelings for him, the overall relationship was very much "Family" like.
"what they had lost" Okay you said MC very much treat them as a really close friend. But what they lost is in 'romantic' way isn't it? Not the same as MC.
I love comming to I'm looking for section for moments like these. Someone describes a manga/anime/ln and it sounds interesting to the point where people lurk to find out the name. I remember one thread where the OP described CCM in a way that made it far more interesting that what the actual novel told On topic: lurking because that sounds fairly interesting if it a real
Now Every time i watch/read harem story with dense MC, do you know who iam empathize with? Not the MC, not the heroine, Not the side character, but The background character!
