If MC can instantly kill his opponent, then he does. In many novels, the MC hides his strength and therefore he will fight for a long time with a weak opponent. I would like to know novels where the MC does not hide his strength and quickly defeated the enemy, if he can. 1. not impotent 2. no tragedy
Martial World is a good one. No true tragedy really. He gets his like kinda girlfriend stolen at the beginning but not formally engaged or anything. He will end a fight fairly fast if they can't give him a challenge and he isn't testing our new skills. My favorite Xianxia.
It's kinda hard since while fights may not get dragged out in the beginning it'll eventually happen later on in novels with a lot of chapters, usually. Take those recommendations with a grain of salt since everyone's opinion of dragged out fight may not be the same as yours.
Yes... so if I say "Emperor's Domination" does it fit your criteria? He's basically just one-shot a lot of things... but if he can drag things, it will be a lot of chapters build in before the confrontation which only amount to a one-hit-kill It's fast, but he also like to chat and banter along with his enemies... A LOT So expect the chapters to drag around him chatting... before doing the killing
